SOURCE: screenplay 5700one horizontal line across entire screen, comes on

this could be the main board or the dmd board on the light engine. you can try disconnecting, cleaning the connections with an approved board cleaner, blow the connections completely dry and then reseat the connections firmly. This has worked many times for me. If the problem still persists you will have to have the projector tested to find out what needs to be replaced.

Projector will not power on.

Since you see a the power button light up green there is a chance that the power supply is still good. Try updated the firmware. You can get it from the infocus website. If that doesn't work then something is wrong with the power supply. I can repair it if you'd like. My ebay screen name is gtitubro.

I have audio and can bring up the menu but no picture

what input are you using? if you are using vga, the cable may be bad. if component, make sure the h and v are not switched around. if rgb, make sure the blue and green are not switched. the green carries the h+v info. if composite, check the video cable. if all else fails, you may need to replace the main board.

The power button light flashing rapidly (white light NOT green)

OK - I had 100% the same problem, and after lots of trial and error, and asking for advice, here it is: The capacitor is "C16" - a small blue electrolytic - 100uf 16v. It is in the center of the power supply board partially hidden by a black heat sink and the large silver chunk of metal.

Swapped for a 25v 100uf I had lying around and she works like a charm now.

Screenplay 5700

Because these units have dangerous high voltages inside, there are a number of safety interlocks throughout. Take out the lamp and reseat it. Also, make sure that the access door is installed correctly and securely. Both have interlocks that will prevent a poiwer up is not installed correctly.

If this is not the case for you, please update this and we'll look for other causes.

Thanks,
Dan
