Call your carrier, it's likely an issue on their end. Or login to your online management portal and lookup blocks on your phone. It's likely it's still there, and if it isn't, wait 24 hours for changes to take effect (turn off and on your cellphone as well).
Is your SIM card inserted properly? Open up the batter cover, remove the battery and there should be an area where you can insert a SIM card. Make sure it's properly seated and try again. The gold contacts should be in contact with the prongs on the phone.
If this still doesn't help, you'll need to contact your carrier. It's probably an issue on their end.

for sending text messages :
1. call to your network operator customer care 2. request the message center number... 3.note it down 4. go to message settings>message center number 5. insert the number which is noted by you and save it

hi there, call the customer service of your service provider ( AT&T,Vodafone,Verizon etc)....they will set up message center number on your phone , the one that you have might be incorrect...your mobile operator will send you sim updates that will refresh the settings ....and then you will get the text message options cheers
On every phone there are settings that can stop you sending texts. However all phones should still receive texts even if all the settings were changed. As the text message is directed to you mobile number you should still be receiving?
When you compose your text and select contact does the phone move them to the out/sent box?
Settings to check for sending are your 'message centre number' (your network provider can supply and they are normally different for pay monthly and pay & go) 'Message sent as' should be 'text' (not fax or email etc).
Text problems are common where people change or delete digits from the message centre number by mistake.
If you cannot receive texts i would recommend speaking to your provider for help as it may be your account details at their end? (beyond your control). Hope that helps?
This is almost certainly a problem with your phone not having the correct Message Centre settings (have you ever used this phone with a different carrier?).
The Message Centre number can be found in Messaging/Settings/Text Message/Text Message Centre. You will probably need to check with your Service Provider to get the correct number, although you may find it on their website.
go into call settings then common settings then call reject. I have given my unwanted number a group name and then blocked that group! Hope it works. There is also a service security thing in messaging which lets you set up trusted and untrusted lists. I am trying this also.
