Ink Absorber Full

Canon MP160 PIXMA shows ink cartridge full. How do I empty...as I just refilled with new cartridge, due to stating no ink. Please help..thank you.

If your ink absorber is reporting full, you need to take it to a Canon service center to have it replaced and have the counters cleared. When you clean your print heads, the ink is stored in this absorber and it gets full over the lifetime of your printer. Go to the following link to locate a nearby service center.

You need to locate the L shaped plastic under the ink cartidge and then clean with water ...

My canon pixma mp 160 printer/ scanner is showing E 27, ink absorber is full need help please.

I've taken this from my manual.
This error message indicates that the ink absorber is nearly full.
The machine has a built-in ink absorber to hold the ink used
during FINE Cartridge cleaning, for example.
You can continue printing by selecting Continue*1
on the display on your camera.
However, because printing is disabled once
the ink absorber becomes completely full
and until the ink absorber is replaced, you
are recommended to contact a Canon
service representative as early as possible.
*1 To resume printing, you can press
[OK] (MP180) / [Black] or [Color] (MP160) on
the machine instead of selecting [Continue].
