My Horizon T80 treadmill is emitting a smell after operating a while not an electric smell but a rubber chemical smell

When I oiled my Reebok Z9 treadmill the silicon liquid that I purchased came with a syringe and a tube attached
You simply pulled the belt up slightly inserted the tube and squirted the solution toward the middle of the belt then repeat the process on the opposite side then turn on the treadmill and walk on it moving your feet from the middle of the belt to the outer edges

Those symptoms point to the belt rubbing on something it's not supposed to. Look for belt material pieces or shaving. Inspect belt and if burning smell is still there, consider replacing it.

You need to buy in any store for tredmills.RFemember LUBE the treadmills by each 5 hours of use.

You need to apply lube between the walking belt and the black deck surface. Most manufacturers use silicone lube. We sell a lube kit for our treadmills that includes an applicator and a bottle of liquid silicone.for around $20.

Horizon treadmills need a silicon lubricant, placed between the underside of the walking belt and the deck board that it slides across. This should be done about once a year ;o)
