How do I take the back off of a Vizio D24-D1? I need the LED Strip SN.

Taking the back off is the easy part, getting the panel apart and back together without damaging it is the hard part, below is a vid that may help, its not the same model but most vizios are similar

How to remove instrument cluster

Take the dash apart like you are removing the stereo. Then the black bezel in front. 3 screws on the top recessed into the bezel in front of the instrument cluster. 2 behind the air conditioner/heater panel and it should slide out. 4 more screws holding the instrument cluster in place.

Menu screen keeps popping up stop

In my case I took the monitor apart and replaced the small plug on the Menu switch unit with soldered connections. This requires you to have a very small soldering iron, mine has 1mm tip. The problem seems to be caused by the connections in this plug, or the other end on the On/Off board making intermittent or poor connections. This is not a job for the faint hearted. Getting the monitor apart is answered elsewhere but the following is a brief summary. With the monitor facing you pull the top of the bottom bezel towards you with two hands. It will come away from the screen face, keep on pulling until you hear the fasteners clicking out. Work your way round the bezel from left up to right down finishing at the menu switches. Its now best to lay the monitor face down and lift the back off as the switches are held in the front bezel and you will break the wires if you just pull the front off. Photograph it so you know how to reassemble. Reassembly is reverse, lay monitor on face locate back correctly and push down round edges to click in.

How do you get the monitor apart?

First you take the little rubber covers off of the front of the monitor--I use a dentist's pick. Under the covers there are screws. Unscrew them.
Now VERY CAREFULLY pry the two halves of the bezel apart. They snap together and I find most times the top of the bezel must be pushed inward as you pry the halves apart.

I have a Samsung 204B cannot remove rear cover

Hello,

Don't use a sharp knife, it will slip and may cut you very badly. We use a small craftsman flat blade screwdriver with a tip about 1/8 inch wide. Start at the bottom but away from the control panel in the center of the unit. The front cover fits over the back part so when you insert the screwdriver tip go from the back to the front. You will have to press down and slide the tip from the back towards the front of the unit. The case should separate a little bit. Once the tip gets between the 2 halves then apply a bit of pressure by lifting the screwdriver. The plastic catch closest to the tip should pop apart and the case should open just a bit. Hold the front case apart from the back and move the tip down the edge just a bit and pry up again and just work your way around the edges. After the first one or two the rest will release easier. after the case comes off check our site to see how to get to the electronics boards at www.ccl-la.com

I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

Replace LCD screen

No, Remove the Screws On the Front Bezel Of the Screen.. (there should be 4 One on each corner), Then you will need a thin plastic tool such as a guitar pick or thin credit card... Pry the front plastic bezel from the back cover starting at the top right corner.. THe Whole Front Bezel Is Held On By Snap Down Plastic Tabs... You Will Need To Slide The Plastic Tool Along The Entire Top Of The Screen At an Angle... Then Once the top is insnapped, Do the sides, Then The Bottom.. Front Bezel Is Now Off And You Should Have Full Access To The Display...

You will have to Unscrew the screen from the Hinges On THe Left And Right Sides... Usually 2 or 4 screws on each side then screen is removable

Front Door Handle/Bezel Replacement for LH

1. Remove the front door trim panel using the procedures outlined in Section 23 of the appropriate service manual.

2. Place door trim panel on a clean work surface. Drill the mounting bosses' heat stakes, which attach the existing door handle/bezel to the panel, with a 21/64-drill bit. Take extra care to only drill in the center of each heat stake.

3. Remove existing handle/bezel from trim panel.

4. Clean the back of the trim panel of plastic fillings.

5. Seat the new handle/bezel into location.

6. Place the push nuts onto the handle/bezel bosses.

7. Use a 10 mm socket to install the push nuts all the way down on the mounting bosses to secure the handle/bezel onto the door trim panel. Using a wiggling side-to-side motion may be helpful.

8. Install the lock switch from the original handle/bezel to the new door handle/bezel.

9. Reinstall the door trim panel using the procedures outlined in Section 23 of the appropriate service manual.

Hope this helps.

How to take Garmin GPS apart?

The front bezel, the silver grey plastic piece with the Garmin name on it will lift off.  Use a fingernail or a very thin tool to pry and lift it up.  Behind that are 4 phillips head screws.  Remove those and it comes right apart.  Look at the board on the top before taking it all apart to see exactly how it goes back in, it's a tight fight and has to fit just right.
