I had my new casio exilim EX-Z9 digital camera in its case and in my bag but it got wet from the rain. The screen is white when it turns on and a red light turns on (its is supposed to turn green). Is there any way i can fix the camera on my own? Will the screen go back to normal? Your help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you! m simpson

You don't. That is something that Casio will have to fix. Call 18007062534 and choose option 2. Tell them you have a stabilizer error and they will tell you how to go about sending it in.

I have been having this same problem. It doesn't happen everytime, but there have been a number of occasions when my Exilim Z850 would display a blinking red light and refuse to take pictures. I thought it was a battery issue, so I tried buying a new battery, eventhough I observed this problem soon after the camera was newly purchased. The new battery didn't help resolve the issue. So I do hope someone out there has figured out what's wrong and will let us know.

A system error is a major error that needs to be sent in. There is nothing that we can do at home to fix that one. Sorry.
SOURCE: I need a camera cable (USB) for my casio EX-Z9
You can get the correct lead from almost any large computer or photographic store, it does not have to be the official Casio item.
The lead needs to be a standard USB socket at one end (USB type A) and the other end is a micro USB (micro USB type B). This is by far the most common type for many cameras and phones now so shouldn't be expensive or difficult to find.
Alternatively, ditch the cable altogether and use an external card reader. Removing your memory card and putting it into an external reader to transfer images is usually much faster, especially if you also avoid using the clunky and non-essential software which most cameras are supplied with.
I hope that you've found my reply to be of use and ask in return only that you rate my answer.

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

My bottle of water spilled over my brand new lumix digital camera in my bag before new year. now all the pictures have white streaks through.
Would anyone be able to fix the camera?
