Wifi driver - Dell Vostro 1014 Laptop Computer

step one (guessing #4 down fails)

1. are you at home, Starbucks ,air port or at work, (who's wifi)
2. do other wifi devices work there., PC, TV, cell phones on wifi or ?
3. if yes,#2, then move the laptop closer t the wifi router.
4. If no and device manager shows 701 errors "? that means the drivers are wrong even infected not using HP.com drivers for your unstated OS. windows 7?
5. on my HP laptops, it takes 2 drivers from them to work wifi,
6. the wifi card driver must match (of up to 3 or more used new)
7. and must have the control panel BUTTON driver working to control wifi.
8. did you up grade it W10 and now wifi is dead , ? oops!

dv6-2155dx , seems was window 7 new, and frozen there,.
HP has no support now for this old PC. (besides asking on THEIR FORUM)

HP has short list of wifi cards they used, and only those work
HP blacklists all other non HP cards (unlike wonderful DELL)
so wrong cards are doomed to fail., as is w10

in that post note 2 the cards used. new. all 3 HP certified.

Ok follow this steps to check the wifi driver go to my computer right click it now select properties now click on device manager check for the modems section try to see if u see ur wifi modem listed if u see a yellow icon on ur wifi driver it means u need to install the driver again if everything is ok right click the wifi driver and select uninstall driver then restart ur computer driver should automatically install tell me if this fixed ur problem

You can get the wifi driver for your optima netbook from the website of your computer's manufacturer. Look for the Support and Download page or something like that. Enter the model of your computer and the operating system. All the drivers will be shown. Install the driver for your wifi.

After installing it, you can make sure that all the drivers including the wifi driver updated by using RadarSync.

Is your wifi driver or network driver updated? You should update that. If you want it done automatically, then I suggest that you install Radarsync.

Make Sure the WiFi Switch Is Set To On, And The Light There Is On Indicating WiFi Connected..

Update The Wifi Drivers From The Toughbook Website

first check in your bios if the internal wifi card is enabled.
if it was not then your problem should be fixed by enabling it.

if it was enabled then try :

go to the compaq/hp website go to support and get the wifi driver for your model c700.
and reinstall the driver.

if this doesnt help pls add more info like what is not working is the wifi driver installed does the wifi card show up in the hardware propertys etc any info can help.

Listen dear compaq c700 models does not support windows xp , so i suggest you to please install windows vista home basic minimum.... all the drivers needed by this os is available on www.hp.com..... hope you must be satisfied otherwise no solution is dere....

That laptop came with 3 different internal WiFi cards.

You can look on the bottom of the unit, and it "should" have a sticker / label telling you which one is installed.

Once you have figured out which card you have, you can get the drivers for the card here, under " Drivers and utilities - MS Windows XP". the wireless drivers are at the bottom of the list from the dropdown box:
