Why can't I play my cds?

The system is on, so there is power.

When I press the CD button -- OPEN comes on that little screen and then a few seconds later I get 'no rdy'

The CD drawer will not open. I checked the main plug and it is securely placed in the outlet. I made sure both speakers were plugged in back of the main unit. The lights indicate the system is on, but 'no rdy' keeps coming up and I can't play the cds.

CD table will not rotate on its own - I can rotate it and if have a CD in place and press the CD button - it will pull up the CD and play it. Also drawer will not open for either set of disks - have tried prying it apart

Need a manual to see how to take it all apart - anyone know where I can get a manual

My 6 CDs are in the changer. I try to play one of them and i get "no rdy". It dies nto open or close. However, the radio and all of the other buttons work fine. The changer does not rotate to get to a specific disk, nor does my CD's play.

'no rdy' meens not ready so you disc tray is stuk take it a part and dose it make a noise az if the cogz are sliping if so the lil band in side you disc tray has broke

The door loader motor isn't working. Sometimes the plastic tray warps and hangs a bit. Mine still hangs, but I can give it a push to close. If you can see the door trying to open you can help it open but you have to be quick or you have to press the open button more that once.

1. Switch on your computer according to the manual. Make sure your headphones are plugged in, or your speakers are plugged in and powered on.

Open the CD or DVD drive tray. Do this by pressing the button next to it.Insert CD into the drive, then close the drive tray by pressing lightly on the front of the tray.

Launch a music player. Open Windows Media Player, iTunes, or any other program that will play CDs, then press play

My karaoke machine will not play CDs

the only suggestion I can offer is clean the laser lens with a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol gently and allow several minutes to dry, if that fails! the whole assembly will need to be replaced.

I have a sony 5 disc changer and the moving panel to load cds will not open it seems to just be stuck i havent used it for a few months it lights up but wont play cds and wont open so i can take the cds...

most of the panels are tight to pull open,give it a harder pull,or some have a little release button

Have a look for a small hole in the front of the CD player - this is the emergency eject button. Find a paper clip, unwind it and then press the paper clip through the hole - the CD should then eject the first CD and you will then be able to eject the others.

When i press cd on my radio it constantly says reading on the screen but no sound is coming out.i have a classic beetle and it needs music

The problem normally is to the reading head. You have to open the player find the head and clean it with a cotton stick very gently. Then try to listen a cd. If it works it's ok, or else your head is broken and you have to replace it thing that I am not suggesting because of the high cost of the head.

Hi,
Your system comes with on-board diagnostics. Run the diagnostics to check if the problem is with the drive or windows.

To run the diagnostics follow the steps below
1. Shutdown the system
2. Press the Fn+Power button together
3. The screen will display color screens
4. Follow the prompts until it takes you to advanced diagnostics
5. Do a custom test on the optical drive.

If you are unable to run the diagnostics
1. Find the dell resource cd that came with the system
2. Insert the cd in and restart the computer
3. At the Dell logo screen press the f12 slowly 5 times
4. Select boot from cd/dvd drive
5. Press any key to boot from cd .... message appears press enter
6. If the system starts from the cd .. this would mean the drive is ok

Discs stuck inside CD Player. Screen says ''Reading.''

Try resetting the CD (Cambridge soundworks) by unplugging, then repluging. Then hold down the eject button while you turn on the power.
