i dont kno how buh maybe we could help each other I forgot my sidekick lx 3 digit privacy code? i try taking off my sim card but it came then when strigth to the privacy lock .. how can i reset everything idc if it remove all the contacts just want my phone back

1: my sidekick lx is allowinq 2 differnet codes into my privacy lock . for example i change my code and it still allows my old code to enter , & it allows my new code .... what do i do ?

2: my aim away messaqes arent workinq to be very lonq ....
other sidekick users have very lonqqqqq away messaqes & they show up , but when i make a lonq away messaqe it doesnt work... why is this ?

3: when i put on my away messaqe " <3 " everythinq after does not show , i would like to know why ?

hi hold down the 10@ key all at the same time it will rest the phone when the turns off hold down the r key till you see the four logos it will restart when you get to the activation screen hold down the l key and the top left button at the same time then you should be all set

while your on the privacy lock you press the call button 2 times, then the emergency call shows up , once that shows up yu press the menu button (the top left button w. tha 3 lines) while holding shift & Q .

& a message pops up saying if you want to reset to factory settings n yu juss press reset & it takes outt tha code n all tha things in the sidekick ..

You can try this. It works on Sidekick 3's

1. at the same time hold the menu button (top left) and the jump button (bottom left)
2. This will bring you to the emergency screen (it gives you the option to make an emergency call)
3. Open to the keypad and hold in the menu+shift+q buttons at the same time.
4. The phone will reset and clear/unlock the security code

If that doesn't work you can trya Master Reset

1. Remove the battery and the SIM card from the device.
2. Flip the sidekick open; press and hold the letter 'r' on the keypad.
3. While holding the letter 'r', place the battery back in the device. DO NOT INSERT THE SIM CARD YET.
4. The sidekick will restart itself twice. Please make sure not to let the letter 'r' go until it has fully rebooted.
5. Once it has fully rebooted, remove the battery, re-insert the SIM card and battery and power up the device.
6. Once the device has fully rebooted, all prior information should be erased from the device and it should be restored back to the default factoy settings.
