The lack of replies suggests you'd be better off putting a memory card into anything else other than a Kodak easyshare..... just look on here at the amount of Kodak & easyshare problems there are....... but for the record, "GOOGLE" mentions 32GB works fine and class 4 or over.

SOURCE: memory card

I experienced the same problem with my Kodak C330. I took it to Walgreens and the tech stated that the C330 was created before 2 GB memory cards were invented; therefore, the software inside it doesn't recognize a larger GB capacity. In short, the C330 has a 1GB max capacity. Considering you can take 1200 pictures with a 1GB card, a larger size really isn't necessary.

SOURCE: I put a new memory card in our Kodak EasyShare

Your camera is only supporting SD/MMC Cards (up to 1 GB)
The card that you currently have might be faulty. Please try another card.

You might also need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.
1: Menu 2: Cam settings 3: Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

The card may have become corrupted. Use a separate card reader and download any pictures from the card. Then, insert it into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

Reset switch on memory card

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

How do i view my easyshare c142 pictures on my computer? Can I just plug my camera into my USB or do I need a card reader?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
