Cooktop Locked Up!!

I have a Frigidaire Convection Oven Model # PLEFMZ99ECK I noticed as I walked by one day that there was a red padlock on the display and on the displays above each burner knob has a (--) when it is usually blank. When I press and hold the lock button all it does is lock the oven door. And when I press it again it unlocks the oven and door. I have unplugged it and I have flipped the breaker and nothing works. Also, on the cooktop I have a warming element that does not have a digital display and it works. PLEASE HELP!

Got the same problem.
Here's a work around: Turn breaker off, second person needs to hold the CANCLE/LOCK button (keep holding it!)
Turn breaker back on and keep holding the button, lock feature may turn on, red lock light stays on, KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON. At the end you will get a F11 (shorted keypad) warning. It may take up to 20 seconds or more but in my case the red lock light goes off, the dashes disappear and everything is back to normal.
Now here are the bad news. This does not fix the problem (I think it's the EOC). Every time the power goes off the red lock light and dashes will come back. It also may require to people to fix this/work around... but, hey, it doesn't cost anything either...

Unlock oven door on model #FGGS3065PF

If the oven display is showing LOC, then the lockout feature was enabled. Press and hold the key pad with the padlock symbol for 3+ seconds. This is just below the Timer On/Off key pad and to the right of the Light key pad. You should see the word DOOR and the padlock icon flash until the door is unlocked and the control panel is released.

If the word DOOR and the padlock icon are lit, then the oven is in the self-clean mode. The lock should release after you cancel the self-cleaning cycle by pressing off and the oven cools down (at least one hour). Unfortunately, sometimes the heat of the self-clean cycle will damage the oven. Either the oven temperature sensor will not give the release signal or the door lock will not disengage. In that case, the oven needs to have the correct part serviced.

The documentation for the Frigidaire FGGS3065PF is available on the product page at Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Frigidaire-Gallery-30-in-4-5-cu-ft-Slide-In-Gas-Range-with-Self-Cleaning-Convection-Oven-in-Stainless-FGGS3065PF/204759413 . See page 15 for the Oven Lockout feature. See page 28 for the self-cleaning information.

I hope this helps.

Error Code E0 39 after replacing induction Control module. Our Range is Frigidaire CPCS3085LF, apparently the module is not talking to the panel. is there a fix?

Execute following sequence to force cooktop reconfiguration (Be sure the good ESEC20 UIB is installed into the cooktop)
1-Put all rotary control to the first detent position clockwise (1 o'clock).
2-Put all rotary control to the first detent position counterclockwise (11 o'clock). The system should then reconfigure, showing walking dashes on the cooking zones displays.
3-Put all rotary controls to "Off" position. There should be no more error code and the cooktop is ready for operation.

Frigidaire electric cooktop locked

I appreciate your post, friend!

I noticed your question is labeled under Frigidaire cooktop model, FEC30S7E. I have located the Use and Care Guide for your cooktop and I was unable to locate a lock feature. You could perform a reset on your appliance and you can do that by unplugging the power cord or flipping the circuit breaker off for ten minutes.
If that does not correct your issue could you please provide me with your model number? Usually you can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) inside your burner box or on the outside of the appliance base. With that information I can look further into your model. I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

The door is locked and will not open display says door locked been that way 3 days

Press and hold the oven lock button for approximately three seconds to turn off the oven lock. The oven lock button has a symbol of a padlock on it. You will hear a beep when the oven lock is turned off. You can now open the oven door and operate the oven as normal

Cooktop is locked out on digital kenmore unit, already tried cutting circuit breaker and waiting 5 minutes, that unlocked the oven but not the cooktop

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly

I could be of much better help with a complete model number I.e. (example 110.XXXXX)

The wait is supposed to be 10 minutes. go back and turn off your breaker by "Physically" pushing it with conviction to the OFF position and wait 10 minutes.

If after 10 minutes the cooktop is STILL locked:

Push the touch pad that looks like a padlock for at least 5 seconds. The lock light should go out.

If it does not go out I will need your model number to go any further.

Thanks for using FixYa and I will be watching for your response.

My Electric Frigidaire Convection Oven just locked it's own door! I heard a continual beep..then "Err" "F9" flashed, then beeping stopped and the illuminated "padlock" symbol lit up and the door locked...

I have a similar problem with my electric Frigidaire convection oven, which flashes ERR F9 and beeps after finishing a cleaning cycle; if you haven't had to have it repaired professionally by now you might try cutting the circuit breaker to the oven for a few seconds and then turning it back on. My oven takes a few minutes to reset, after the circuit is turned back on, but then will unlock the door and let me reset the clock and continue cooking as normal. . . until the next time I set the clean cycle.
