Pump won't prime

New Gaggia Classic pump is not priming. I've followed the instructions in the manual - there is a gurgling sound from the pump but water is not coming out of the group or the steamer.

I have a similar problem, I think. I get water through the steam thing, but not through the brew head. Not sure what to do either.

Remove the shower screen and clean. If shower is clean then line to head is clogged.

take out screen and screen holder,and unscrew piece in head,clean with wire and try,i think its your head plugged out.

Remove shower and screw, then run brew button, if that works clean shower, if not remove allen wrench screws and clean diffuser and valve on spirng.

Call who ever you bought it from and have them diagnose the problem. I think you have a disconnected hose or something worse.

My Gaggia Coffee deluxe has stopped working - the water isn't coming through. I've tried descaling it but I don't think that's the problem - it sounds as if it's trying to **** the water through but it...

First check the end of the steam wand to make sure that it is not blocked. If it is clear then the pump should prime.
Second remove the screen and screw in the group and make sure that it is clean, then without the screen try pressing the brew button to see if water will flow.

Started up gaggia classic for the 1st time today. followed the instructions in the manual but when switching on the pump, it made ery loud noise and no hot water or steam apeared through the nozzle or...

You need to let this happen for awhile until the pump "primes" or fills all the way with water. Let the it run with the noise for awhile. Also, let it sit for at least 20 minutes before you start running the pump.

Gaggia won't prime

Put a cup under the steam wand and then open the steam valve while turning the pump on. Once you have pumped a few ounces of water out of the steam wand you can close the valve and it will start pushing water through the grouphead.
