Email application will not open

I have an Archos 5. Today I was clearing out the inbox when I lost the connection to the server. Now when I turn the Archos on, it can connect to Google fine and I can search the web no problems, however when I go to use the email, it starts to connect to the server then shuts down and re boots the Archos. It does this every single time I try an open the email application even though the Internet function is fine. I have tried resetting it by powering it on and off with no luck. I have tried using the pinhole reset underneath the Archos with no luck. I then tried to do a system recovery as outlined in the manual but I cannot get it to go to the white screen like they say it should. Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated.

That happened to me once. i deleted the email account and set up a new one. try that.

Reinstall hotmail on lg6

If you've already set up that email account, you can still enable this option from within the settings of that account (you won't bring back email you've already lost, however). To do this, follow these steps:

Open up the Email app
Tap the menu button, and click Settings
Tap Account settings
Tap the account you want to configure
Tap More Settings
Tap Incoming settings
Scroll to the bottom and look for Delete email from server
Tap the drop-down and select When I delete from Inbox (the same way you would if you were initially setting up the account)

My Archos 32 when I try to open my music a message comes up "Sorry The music (process com.androld.music) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again and tried several times but can't open my music up.

You can give it a try clearing the data on the app you are using to listen to music.
Do like this:

Go into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications
Look for your application, then select "Clear Data".

How can I setup my Yahoo Mail a/c in my LG GS500V mobile phone? Please help.

First open your email application from the top level menu. If no other accounts have been setup yet, it will ask you to setup email. Click yes. If you have already configured other account, then open email application and click on the button on top left corner and select add account. E-mail wizard opens. Now,

Click others
Type your full email address under E-mail address
Provide your yahoo password under Password
Click Save
Under Username again provide the same email address as in step 2
Click Save
Select IMAP4 under Mailbox type
Under Incoming server, enter imap.mail.yahoo.com
Under Outgoing server, enter smtp.mail.yahoo.com
When asked for SMTP authentication, leave it on
Again just click Save when it shows you SMTP username and password
Under Account name, enter any name and click Save
When it asks for Update inbox now?, click No
Click Done
Now click your account name
Click the top left button and select Settings
Under Access points, select the access point of your current network
Scroll down further and select Advanced settings
Under both SMTP TLS/SSL and Incoming TLS/SSL, select SSL
Now click Save

That's all... Your email is setup now. To access your email, open your account and from the top left menu options, click Synchronisation. If everything is Okay, it will login to your account, and retrieve any custom folders that you have created in Yahoo Mail. Now, open each and every folder, such as Inbox, select Synchronisation from the top left button menu. It will retrieve your emails from the corresponding folder.

Sorry! The application Email(process com.android.email)has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again

Open Settings-->Applications-->Manage Applications
Tap Menu, choose Filter then choose Running
Tap the Email App then Tap Clear data

This will completely erase your email profiles

Now go back into email, re-do your server setup and you should be good to go. Let me know how/if this works for you

Computer won't delete items from inbox on outlook express

Do you have IMAP on your email server? IMAP is a duplicate of what you have in your email program, if your not deleting the messages on the server but only on your email program then your server space will be full and it will give people that send you email that message.

Messages in yahoo inbox disappearing

>lets check this option
>open outlook tools>account settings>select the account >click change>Advance tab>leave a copy of message on the server >apply and OK and continue with account settings wizard

>this is only applicable to pop accounts
and emails which will come after checking the option will remain on the webmail inbox
