Hello,

The micro card (the smaller one) can be used alone in a port that accepts (microSD ports)such as those on a Sansa c240, c250, e250 etc.
If you have a regular SD slot (larger than microSD) then you plug the micro card in the adapter and plug the whole into a regular SD slot.

Plug the card in your computer and copy paste the files. Or plug the micro card in an MP3 player that accepts it and use you music transfert software.

You only have one card (the micro SD one), which you can use in two possible slots.

Hope it helps.

What do I do with the sandisk adapter

If your MicroSD Card can be read directly by your PC or other device, you don't need it. However, save it, just in case. The adaptor can convert your MicroSD card to an SD card, allowing it to be read by most card readers. Store the adapter in a safe place until it is needed.

HTC HD2 sandisk adaptor

Okay, you have 3 pieces:
Really small piece - microSD Big piece - SD Card
Forget that black mid-sized piece, you won't be needing it.
The very small microSD card should be inserted into the phone (in the battery area in back).
That is what you will need it for, just in the phone. But if you want to ever take it out of the phone, you slide it, face up, and it fits one way only, into the large SD card with the red and blue Sandisk label. You would do this because a computer or laptop would never have a way to read the small microSD card we put in the phone, so we put it in the larger carrier and use an SD Card to access the memory card in our computers if we need to.
Basically for me, my microSD card is in my phone 24/7. It stores all my files documents music etc in my phone. I have the 2 larger pieces but never use them, just install it in your phone, and carefully, you need it.

Is the smallest chip an adapter as well?

The smallest card pictured there is a 2GB microSD card, which is an actual memory card. The biggest is an SD adaptor the microSD to fit into and the second biggest is a miniSD adaptor.

I bought a 2GB microSD memory card and adaptor (wake up your phone) im trying to put music onto it from my computer downloads but it just keeps saying, This Disk Is Write-Protected

There is usually a 'lock' on those adapter cards that might be enabled. However, if you haven't formatted the card to your phone you may wish to do so, otherwise it may not work in your phone. Put the MicroSD card into your phone, go to Menu > Settings > Memory > Options to format your card.
Then put in the adapter, check the lock setting, and reinsert.

Re-format it. Put the SanDisk 2GB microSD memory card into your LG enV2 and format it from there. If that does not work plug it into your laptop then right click the icon and format it to FAT and click on default settings.
