    It is a heater fault

  • Anonymous Dec 02, 2007

hi my machine does the same its 2 years old, first thought it was a blockage, it had been doing it 4 a while, we used to just take filter thing out of bottom of dishwasher and check for limescale, and it used to work,

but not anymore, the tablet stays in the same compartment to, previously you thought it might be a heater failure, would this be caused due to the heater clogged up with limescale? any ideas,

same prob here, it starts fine then about 1 minute later pumps out water
then fast 40 and delicate 50 lights flash, had it just under 2 years and regret buying it, its already had two new pumps within the first 6 months now this.
plus my hotpoint washing mashine just broke too.

FDW60 Fast and Delicate Lights Flash

This is a bad control board that if replaced will only repeat in a short time .My advice is to contact the manufacturer and complain, you have the right as a consumer to do so.

I think you will find that the heater has packed up.same thing has happened to my 14month old machine.
Waiting for the part to arrive approx £40 looks quite straight forward if you are a bit handy with tools

Dishwasher error codes please help

I too had this problen today. Printed off a manual from the Hotpoint website. Very helpful troubleshoot section. Anyway, flashing eco and fast lights and beeping sound indicates 'water feed pipe blocked' You need to check the water inlet connections on your tap. However, when we pulled it out we noticed the blue water inlet pipe was slightly kinked. Straightened this out and hey presto! It works fine again. How this happens when its worked ok for 18 months will never know but still. Try it! hope this was helpful...shewoo
