Is it possible to reset the handset registration so that I can use it with another Panasonic KX-TG2740 base unit?
Press function button on handset, scroll to initial setting, select by pressing right arrow, scroll to registration, select, select hs registration, follow directions on handset display, pressing mute on "new" base station, and ok on handset(plugged in). If you like, you can unregister with the "old" base unit first.

I no longer have the number 1 phone which was preregistered to the base station as it went completely dead. I bought an 8th phone to repace it with but the base station says "8 phones already registered". Any way to get this phone registered? It has the number 6.

I have three kx-tga421 cordless hand sets and the all look the same when sitting in teir bases,but when one of them is removede it goes dead. A panasonic tech told me my baterries needed to be replaced so I did it to no avail.

Can the base handset be switched with another handset being used in another location in our home. Have already switched the names on each handset but want to change the numbers, *1, *2,*3, and so on.
