Powermax water pump shuts off after 5 min or more

Sounds like you got some bad gas. May need to replace the fuel filter

Safety shutdowns:

1. Loss of coolant
2. High water temperature
3. Low oil pressure

Likely one of these. If no indicators at a panel check at the connector.

buy a new carburator on ebay for 20.00,the diaghram and all the rubber hoses are shot,that is what ethanol does,eiher try a rebuild kit or wait 2 days for a new one

Check and clean carbs. If same problem persists rebuild or change full pump. Firstly ensure clean plugs,and fuel filter. If you hook up a inline fuel pressure gauge, then run. You may have low press output, at cont full load. If so you need to open your vapor separator tank. Check and clean high presure pump and pre filter. You need to clean and inspect needle and seat. Than repeat test as outlned above.

Check the fuel system for plugged fuel filter, these will have an in line filter and they often get plugged up. Check your fuel lines for holes,kinks or pinching. These will rust in the tank from storing all summer condensation builds water forms then rust. Clean fuel system out good to include the screen in behind the nozzle assembly. While you have the cover off clean out the photoelectric eye and igniter. If the fuel is old change it out as well.

Is oil pressure good? Check it when it shuts down.

Most of these have a switch that kills it if pressure drops. At operating temp the pressure may drop.

Check for intermittent oil pressure switch. Monitor the possibility of low oil pressure shutdown.

I WOULD LOOK FOR AN ELECTRICAL (IGNITION) SHUTDOWN,CHECK WHEN IT SHUTS DOWN WITH SPARK TESTER TO SEE IF IT IS FIRING.
