If you are saying that you can see the files but it does not show the pictures. Check the file association for that pictures file extension. All that it might take to make it see the picture is to associate the file extension to a picture viewer program.
Videos generally run in AVI mode. When putting pictures into the computer, place them in the "My videos" folder instead of the "My pictures" folder. This should solve your problem.
