Epson xp-300 with all new cartridges...when it prints it only prints every other line. I tried different documents, same result. I uninstalled the printer, reinstalled the printer, rebooted the printer...same results...test page prints fine...tried printing excel doc's and same results

yes you can change the font tray to print the printer internal setting tray that press and hold any key by tarn the printer off then on after you tarn the printer on release the key

PDFs are designed to print using Postscript language.
The problem will occur with any non-Postscript printer. You can get better results on Windows printers by clicking on the "Advanced' button in the Print dialogue window. Then check 'Print as Image'.
This has worked well for me.

Are you using a third party USB adapter or a USB interface? On the self test page that you printed does it say USB connection or something that will say about USB? or does it say parallel or serial connection? try to check the dip switches setting if its configured properly. visit epsonexperts.com site for more info.
