I have a nikko 2wd rc truck ive had since lick 1992 lost the controller the battery wont charge so its been sitting til now my buddy and I put a bigger motor in it ran then it stopped going forward still goes backwards it fried the mother board which we figured it would do what we want to do is take out the mother board and put a different set up in it but the steering servo is different then the one we want to put in and we are looking for a wiring diagram to see what we can do need to know where I could get one any suggestions
A more powerful battery will deffinetly increase power and speed but keep around the same voltage range 1 up wouldnt hurt it

Spin the rear wheels and make sure nothing such as a small stone is binding something up in the driveline. Check to make sure the motor has not gotten disconnected from the ESC. If you still have problems with it post again and I will try to look further into it.

what has happened is the brushes have lost contact with the shaft you need to clean them with some oil move the wheels back and forth with you hands after you added the oil to work it in use a very small screw driver to clean the shaft (past end) whale you are spinning the wjeels with you hands should work. I just performed that operation my self today. Same thing my xl5 steerinrg worked but no go............Good Luck,

You can use difrent controller long as its on the same frequancy. There should be something on bottom of car or on box.

hey whats up ,my name is Emilio, i also have a nikko 2wd truck 27 -49mghz 2ch digital proportional with crystals well i got it from a goodwill store for $5.it came with the body modified across the windshield in red letters it says team tekin the body is held on with four pind two in front two on rear well when you remove the body the chasis is a dune buggy frame with a wheel tub in the rear..it acutaly sits in the bed of the body it also has a modified cab over bed with racing spoiler big beast tires and a 6AA battery compartmentin the chasis.Well anyways me being new to rc i was tinkering with the reciever and two diodes on the far right hand corner has the #403 on one and #404 on the other the look like you can stick a philips screw driver in them so i did i turnd to the right and the wheels spun realy fast i turned to the left they spun fast in other direction bit i didnt know your not supposed to turn them at all and the started to smoke since then it never ran again ...i polish the body from time to time it was a awesome truckthe motor is huge i have every thing still just dont know what or where to get those two diodes what they are for im willing to trade it all for a working rc nothing fancy but has some speed to itor even
