I don't have the manual of the phone.the phone doesn't ring when someone calls me. It rings just once too briefly. How can I change the ringing tone?
If you donot have manual then reset it to factory setting then after set your nunmer. setting

Hi Guy's, Now I run a small PC repair business here in Australia now what I am about to say may or may not help in your country but here in Australia it does.
Ok my Clients Mx310 cuts out when he is on the phone (voice) after I tried all possible trouble shooting I bit the bullet and rang Canon (Australia)
Canon informed me that there is a phoneware issue and needs to be upgraded. This is how you can tell weather you need the upgrade.
1. Push Scan button then #
2. put in this code 9768 #
Now this will generate a print report, let it printout .
The page will have a heading PTT PARAMETER.
On the far left margin you will have a figure in my case it was 1.030 now that is the frequency for the line so the fax knows what it is doing etc etc.
The figure (Frequency) should be 1.040 or greater, You have to take the unit to a canon Tech so they can do the upgrade via the units USB port, and no as far as i can tell there is no other way round it ie firmware etc.
For me who lives in a Rural town my canon dealer is 120 Km away.
Now just to add the Canon MX700 should have a figure of 1.080 or greater.
I hope this makes sense and I hope it helps as I said should in Australia as for other Countries really unsure.
