SOURCE: I have a 6 moth old Delonghi EC155 espresso maker.

The problem is that the steam thermostat is not working right and leave the boiler overheat enough to start burning the boiler pastic seal and also the overheated steam blow out some boiler dirt gather by previus use which was liying in the boiler and it was gather from water, soil is brown color.
So now if you are lucky first dont switch it on again since it might be on the starting of the problem and you can avoid it by just replacing the steam themostat. Howevr you must work it then without the top cover with extra safety of course in order to visual check if you have any other damage from the overheating like gasket burned out and or water leaking or else.
Good luck

DeLonghi EC155 Doesn't Release Water

When I bought my EC155, I heated it up for 30 minutes and tried multiple times to run water through. After multiple attempts the water level remained unchanged. <br /> I was able to fix the problem by opening the bottom of the machine (4 star screws). After opening the bottom, I immediately noticed that one of the plastic pipes was not in the channel in which it was supposed to be and as a result was kinked and sealed off. I simply pushed it into the channel and that fixed the problem.

Ec155 delonghi

if you have an ohmmeter, disconnect the cables that feed the resistance and connects the ends of the meter should give a value of element 5 to 30 ohm, if you give infinite that is very high due replacement it, there are also two thermostats one limit and a control, if you use this meter their connections resistance removing the cables connecting them, the measurement should be 0, if it gives you another value or infinite must change.

Installed new ulka vibrating pump in my Rocket E61 (Giotto) but the pump won't prime.

Hi there,
If when you installed the new pump and turned it on and made loud vibrating sound but not pumping any water through what you need to do is when you turn the pump on open up your steam valve turning the steam knob. Usually it is just an air lock and this should allow the air out and water to flow through. When water comes out of the steam arm, close it off and water should then come out the group head as normal. If you try this and nothing happens you either have a build up of scale which you just need to try to flush a good descaler (Puly Baby Powder) through your machine or the pump you got is faulty.

All the best

Delonghi EC 155 general help

You don't have to wait 15 mins. just a few minutes, then run some hot water to warm up the portafilter and dry it up, fill it up with coffee and when you get the gree light again, make your espresso . You will have to have a good fine coffee and make sure to pack the coffee really good and don't leave any around the edges , so could make a good seal. If you have steam coming out of the machine , is maybe to hot and is ready to brew . Cool down the machine after use, run water through it and let the steam out of the nozzle.
