After turning on the screen it soon turns a green tint. I just transported the tv could I have knocked something out of alignment?

yes or the green tube is going bad. if it holds solid just a little green, you just need to turn down the screen control for the green drive. if it gets brighter and brighter green until its really intense, suspect bad tube or board.

the green drive knob is hidden in the front, behind the front access panel. its labeled but hard to see, only turn the one know counter clockwise, it will be labeled G and SCREEN, there are 6 knobs

Green Screen, No Sound, Shuts off after 10 seconds

Almost certainly the green picture tube is shorted. This is a very expensive repair; probably not worth doing.

Minium is the green picture tube need to be replaced, if you can take the front cover and access panel off there is a control with 3 focus and screen controls.
you can adjust the 3 screen controls to possibly get a little more time out of it before the crt's need to be replaced. careful if you turn them down too much there will be no picture, and if you turn them too high the tv will go bright and shut off

RCA 52inch TV

If the screen control for the green picture tube is set too high, then the colors will be greenish, there will be green where there should be black and there will be fine curved lines (retrace lines) in the picture. If you feel confident then you can open the set and look for the focus block which has the 3 focus and 3 screen controls. One row is labeled Screen and the green control will be the center one. Try turning that control down a little and see is the green background and curved lines go away. If they do not go away then there is something more serious wrong. If you do not have experience working on projection sets then allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
