The T con board is faulty. It is the board with flat ribbon cables going to the bottom of the screen. It is not hard to replace this board. You can get one from here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy
The set will need to be properly diagnosed to narrow down the problem. You could be looking at a bad inverter, bad CCFL lamp, fault in power supply or main board.
The backlight inverter which is also part of the power supply needs to be replaced. If you feel comfortable you can replace the blown capacitors on it.
