My Sonic Clean vacuum has no suction?

All questions need full make and model

https://www.google.com/search?q=sonic+clean+vacuum

They make a few models in upright and floor compacts. You have a blockage somewhere. When something is obstructing the flow, the motor is still trying to suck air. It has to go somewhere, so it blows instead. The blockage could be anywhere, but you mention brush rolls, so on an upright, remove the base plate and the brush and check the hole behind it. In a vacuum with a hose, check the hose itself and the motorized brush head, the same hole behind the brush.

If your vacuum's suction power has decrease with use, this is because 1) the filter bag needs to be changed and/or 2) the vacuum has a clog in the suction path. For clog removal instructions, please reference page 10 of your vacuum's user manual.

We took the vacuum apart including all hoses and there does not appear to be an obstructiobn, what is causing the vacuum to lose suction

The fan/impeller could be broken or too worn to provide suction. Check it and replace if necessary.
Did you clean/replace the filters? Instructions for doing so can be found on page 16 of the manual.
Other things to check can be found on page 17 of the manual.
The manual is found on the following site.

I don't get much suction from the hose on my DC17 All Floors. I don't see any obtacles in the hose. The suction when upright is fine.

Hello,

The way your Dyson DC17 is designed, there is a suction divert mechanism that diverts the suction to floor when the vacuum cleaner head is pushed down, and then back to the hose when the vacuum is in the upright position. If you are getting suction from the hose when the vacuum is upright, but no suction after the handle is reclined, this is actually the normal function for the Dyson DC17.

You can check to see if the filter is dirty. The washable filter on your Dyson DC17 is located directly underneath of the dust bin of the vacuum cleaner. After removing the dust bin, lift straight up on the part the bottom of the dust bin rests on. This is where the pre-motor filter is located for the DC17 models. If this filter is not cleaned on a regular basis, then it can start getting clogged, and you'll notice a loss of suction on the vacuum cleaner.

If you have further questions, please visit the link below where you may download the instruction manual. There are some trouble shooting guides at the back of the manual that you may do to try and diagnosis this further.

My eureka vacuum won't suction and starts to smoke when I try to use it. It sounds like it is suctioning when I first turn it on, but after about 20 seconds it begins to smell like burning and does not...

The problem is that your belt is stretched and worn. This causes that burning smell and it also causes the vacuum to not pick up well. You need to replace the belt. Here is the belt you need and the manual with instructions:

The windtunnel vacuum has suction but does not pick up the dirt. I'm puzzled as to what might be the problem. Help!

The problem is that the belts are stretched and worn and slip instead of turn the brush when it is put against the resistance of the carpet. You simply need to replace the belts. Here are the (2) belts you need and the manual with instructions:

Vacuum brushes won't turn. It still has suction.

That means that you need to replace the belt that turns the roller brush. They naturally stretch and wear and you should replace this belt yearly. Here is the belt you need and the manual which has instructions on how to change it:

No suction when carpet cleaning. Also won't stand upright

Its possible that it may be blocked in the foot of the vaccum. try going through your instruction manual to locate details on how to disassemble the suction brush and connecting ducts. If you dont have one then use this link to download it. http://ubermanuals.com/node/1870

Let me know how you got on
