Dongle won't work

I installed 3D embroidery software on windows 7, did the upgrade, but it won't recognize the dongle. I was at sometime able to download the patch to my previous windows 7 computer which is still functional. Can I somehow transfer the patch to my new computer and if so, how?

    Hi Marilyn, you most likely have a new PC with windows 10 by now. Like me I have the expensive 3D embroidery software and windows 10 would not recognize the dongle. I've searched the internet for days now, and finely found the driver that will work. I'm posting the link for the driver, it's GREAT! you not only get the driver but also answers to other issues that you may run into installing it. I have no issues, once I installed the driver IT WORKED. I hope this will help you, please pass it along to others who may need the updated driver for windows 10 since Husqvarna no longer supports the older software. I'm thrilled that I have my 3D embroidery software working again. And want to share this information to everyone who can use it.

Did you try the dongle in another port... yes if you can find the patch you can load it onto a flash drive or sd card and then upload it over to the new pc

Try to install the software from the download as its latest version its will prompt you to remove the old version on your computer and follow onscreen instruction you be able to install the software...........

Could you please download the latest version of the
VIP Customizing Plus embroidery software.If you could not find them just mail the support team.they will send you the link.

The windows 7 and Vista cant recognize the older version.So download the latest one.

Those floppy drives that require a dongle are really no good. The USB floppy drives are the way to go. Just plug and play. Here is a link to the USB floppy drives if interested. They start at around $8.00. If you want to stick with the floppy with the dongle, you might want to try running windows update. I didn't see where you posted the maker of the floppy drive or the dongle so getting the drivers or software is pretty much impossible.

take it to the dealer with your SN and receipt the dealer can get you a new dealer for about $100, but if you are not the original owner who registered the SN, it is a copyright violation and you are SOL

This sounds more like a driver issue than a software problem. The ArtLink 6 software CD that came with the Aurora 430 had drivers for XP and Windows Vista. However, these drivers may have only been for the 32-bit OS. Windows 7 is the first version of the OS to have had a large number of 64-bit installations.

The latest drivers for the Aurora 430 is available here: https://berninaofamerica.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200183069-Aurora-Driver-Windows-Vista-7-and-8- . You will need to install two drivers; follow the directions on the site. Make sure that the USB cable is good and that you aren't using a USB hub.

If you have installed the drivers and the ArtLink 6 software still isn't working, ArtLink 7 is fully compatible with Windows 7 and the Aurora sewing machines. The only download site for this software that I've found is https://www.bernina.com/en-CA/Products-CA/BERNINA-products/Software-Designs/BERNINA-Embroidery-software/Advanced-Embroidery-Software/ArtLink-Seven . ArtLink 8 is also Windows 7 compatible. However, I haven't found any documentation on the supported sewing machines.

The driver issue also applies to the dongle. Try this site: https://www.bernina.com/he-IL/Support-IL/Software-he/Embroidery-Software/Dongle-Driver . However, since you have the Editor Lite v4, this dongle may not be supported under Windows 7. The dongle driver is not updated regularly. (There is a patch for the v5 software to run properly under Windows 7. There isn't one for the Editor Lite v4 to the best of my knowledge.)

Loaded 3D Embroidery software on computer but will not recognize the dongle plugged in to the usb port. Drivers for dongle did not automatically load, went online to find a HASP file (driver I think) and...
1st try another usb port
2nd uninstall the software and plug the device in only after you have reinstalled the software and you are asked to plug it in. If it doesn't ask then install the software first and try again.

You can also right click on my computer and select manage.
then on the left side of the window select device manager, unplug and plug back the usb dongle and see if any devices appear or disappear also note any yellow ! marks. you may have to press the scan for new hardware button or right click on the window to scan for hardware changes.

Can't get computer and embroidery machine to connect via USB. Computer doesn't recognize embroidery machine. (Husqvarna Designer Diamond) I also have a new DELL laptop.
If your using Windows Vista, you have to have the multi user account in the off postioin. Also if you had 3D embroidery software and you upgraded to 4D software you have to be sure to uninstall the 32 bit drivers from the 3d for the 4d to work properly.

You do have to install the communication software that came with the diamond also. It won't communicate through the 3d or 4d only.
