Miele dishwasher doesn't start Shows inlet

I am working on a similar problem. You need to refer to different info depending on the model. Do an internet search on

You will probably find a lot of "experts" blowing smoke but this should help keep them honest.

Dishwasher doesn't have water going in but there is water going in the hose from the tap

Possible failure of the inlet Valve or that the command voltage for the inlet valve to open is absent from the program controller unit.
So you need to check the valve first ,remove and check the valve with voltage, clean if clogged.
If not the program controller is defective.

When the dishwasher goes into wash mode there doesn,t seem to be enough water in the unit to spray out the arms. when i pour water into unit it works ok until its next cycle?

Hello, If your unit is not getting enough water inside of it one of the first things that you would check would be the water inlet valve. If you follow the water line going to the dishwasher the water line itself connects to the inlet valve. Using a multimeter you can remove the connection going to the solenoid to assure that the valve is getting power if the valve were not to be getting power then you would look at the float switch which is usually found to the right of the inlet water valve. If you do have power going to the valve yet you still do not have water flowing past the valve you will most likely need to replace the inlet water valve in the unit. If you have any further questions or you have a problem locating the inlet water valve message me back your make and model number of your unit and I will try to locate your schematic to show the location of the valve. Also if you do have any questions message me back those as well. Thanks again I await your reply Rick

LG WM1814CW washer - doesn't fill with water. Hear a hum when it should be filling with water, but no water and no error codes. I am guessing Valves (F160 and F170). Any thoughts?

Hi

If the washer won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the pressure/water level switch assembly. Inspect the inlet hose coming to the washer for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the pressure/water level switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Water or ice maker not working

The first thing I would check is to make sure that the house water wasn't turned off to the unit by mistake. The next thing that I would check is that the water line is not crimped cutting off the flow. If neither of those are the problem then the water inlet valve (solenoid) would be the next thing. It is the one where the water line from the house inlet valve feeds into and then two water lines come out of it.
If that doesn't solve the problem the next thing to check is the control board.

Tub completed cycle and wouldn't shut off the water

Is your machine a FAV6800A or FAV9800A? Can you confirm the Model Number and the first two digits Serial Number?

Does water flow into the machine with the 120VAC power plug pulled from the machine?

If it does you have a stuck water valve. If it doesn’t you could have a stuck pressure switch and I can walk you thru how to check in diag mode for that condition.

I know you are frustrated but with some basic troubleshooting we can determine if the issue is a stuck open Water Inlet Valve or a defective Pressure Switch. Because this board doesn’t ask for the Model Number or Serial Number we need to start there.

Here is where the Model and Serial number info is located on the back of your machine.

Ice maker is not working. No water is getting up to maker. Ice maker sounds like it is working. Tube in back has no water in it.Arm is down. Water is coming out of door just fine. There is no built in...

There is a screen in the water inlet valve where the water supply connects. OR The water inlet valve on the back of the unit where the water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill tube.

Our icemaker does not fill with water

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
