Is the oil over full ??? then i would suspect a crankcase breather issue which should be in the valve cover... then I would be looking at a head gasket issue, rings or all of the above

SOURCE: pressure washer stalls

Pressure washers work under very dirty conditions, no wonder they encounter engine problems. Here are a few pointers from a former pressure pump tech. The unloader is a source of engine overloading however this can easily be checked with a pressure guage attached to the gun with a tee fitting having the guage and the normal tip used for the unit. The pressure should never rise over rated pressure. The pressure should drop considrably when trigger is released. The life of the pump and engine can be increased by setting max pressure to 75% of rating. Most engine problems are from following conditions:
Leaking or misadjusted valves; clogged muffer /spark arrester; weak spark coil that is about to fail completely; kill switch/oil sensor wiring and or sensor mal function; gas cap not venting properly causing vacuum in tank and wet or dirty air filter.
All these problems easy to check, fastest repair is to disconnect oil sensor wire to check oil safety system. Then temp replace coil with known good coil. Loosen muffer bolts to check for clogged muffler. Temp run engine without gas cap to check for vacuum. Finally if everything fails, run the engine with carb cleaner spraying directly into the intake. If the engine continues to run with carb cleaner then the problem is fuel delivey and faulty carb. enjoy

It is possible that the oil pressure switch is not functioning properly or you have a lighter oil in the machine than is recommended.

SOURCE: Honda 8HP GX240 willnot start after working fine.

Your carberator has crud, or rust, or glaze in it. The carberator will have to be removed, soaked in cleaner for three hours and then rebuilt using the proper carberator kit from any auto parts store. If you need to hire this done expect to pay about 35 dollars.

SOURCE: What gas and oil do I use on the Honda Excell 2600 pressure washr

That engine requires a separate gas and oil. There is an oil sump with oil level needle and cap on the side of the engine. This is where you fill it with special pressure washer pump oil available from any good outdoor store or place where pressure washers are sold. As for gas, Unleaded or Premium unleaded gas will work fine. Try not to use any fuel with ethanol blends however. Here is a list of oils that will give you an idea what to buy for the oil reservoir: http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref%255F%3Dnb%255Fss%255Fgw%26field-keywords%3Dpressure%2520washer%2520pump%2520oil%26url%3Dsearch-alias%253Daps&tag=onlinetoolrev-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957

Hi there, I have a Makita 5200 compressor. When the air pressure starts to build, oil is blown out of the crankcase breather. I add oil and right away it blows that out too.

Mac2400 leaking air at oil breather hole

I have read both your questions and after taking both into consideration it sounds like it needs new piston rings. On a gas engine it is called blow by but both have a piston with rings on them, as they wear the end gap gets bigger and bigger allowing compressed air to bypass the rings into the crankcase where the oil is, the breather is there to allow air from the room to enter and exit as the piston goes up and down to avoid pressure or vacuum in the crankcase, the air on the top side of the piston is supposed to go into the tank but in your case some of it is going around the piston rings and into the crankcase building pressure and blowing oil out. There is not much inside a compressor like a gas engine, taking the head off and the oil pan should let you take off the connecting rod bolts and push the pistons out the top. This answer is based on the two comments of cant build all the air pressor and it is blowing oil out the crankcase breather. If you hit the 80 psi and unplug the compressor can you hear air coming from the limit switch box that the power cord goes into ? I will wait for your answer to continue.

How can I stop oil from coming from my dipstick?

Depends on the cause.
Blow-by is when oil blows by the rings in the cylinders into the combustion chambers or compression blows by the rings into the crankcase. It can also be caused when too much pressure builds up in the crankcase because of a venting problem.
So blow-by can cause smoke out the tailpipe from oil burning with gasoline, or oil collecting in the air cleaner, or blowing out a seal or other place like your dipstick tube.
If it is caused by worn piston rings, the rings have to be replaced.
If it is a venting problem, you need to open up the vent, like the PCV valve or the air intake port.
If you remove the cap where you add oil and there is a vacuum when the engine is running, the venting system is working. If oil blows out the hole, there is too much pressure in the crankcase.

If you had a head gasket leak then there would be higher oil pressure but I think you would notice other signs of problems. Air and oil are typically sucked into the carburetor or air intake from the top of the valve cover. This is the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve. You could try changing this valve. They are cheap and it is pretty easy to do yourself. In Honda's they can have problems leaking oil from this point and if yours is clogged for some reason, that may help (not sure).

As far as blowing a spark plug out, that is a pretty big problem. Immense pressure has to happen for the threads to fail, unless the spark plug wasn't screwed in all the way. I would say there is a mechanical problem in your engine somewhere. Either timing is off slightly or a valve isn't working correctly, or there is something in the cylinder that hit against the spark plug.

How did they repair the spark plug problem?

Worn piston rings would be my first guess. If so then the engine needs a rebuild.

I have a 2001 Sportster 1200 Screamin Eagle and since I moved to Colorado from Alaska, I notice I'm getting oil blow out from the air cleaner, which blows across my pipes. What could be the cause of this?

To begin with, make sure you're putting too much oil in the tank. But, oil blow out into the breather is common on these bikes. Thanks to the EPA, all vented air from the engine must be cycled or run through the engine to be burned. This is why Harley moved the engine breather vents to top of the heads, to reduce the amount of oil in the air vented from the engine. However, it still builds up in the air cleaner and must be cleaned out occasionally. As the engine gets more and more mileage on it, the rings allow more compression to get by them resultling in more crankcase pressure blowing out more oil mist.

I think Custom Chrome and Kuryaykin, aftermarket accessory suppliers, has a kit to relocate the crankcase vent so that you air cleaner is not filled with oil. You can order the kits through any aftermarket dealer and sometimes even you Harley dealer.

Good Luck

What this means is your engine has alot of what they call blow by which means alot of crankcase pressure about all you can do is you can try like engine restore as a cheap attempt to help reduce some blow by or rebuild/replace engine if you try the restore change oil and leave it about 1/4 to 1/2 quart low on oil and add your can of restore if that works you have to do it at every oil change.Restore helps rebuild compression by filling in minor scratches in the cylinders and gives the rings a better seal in the cylinders. It usually takes 300-500 miles to make a noticeable difference if you dont notice it by then rebuild/replace engine..

750 Honda oil leak

Blow-by on the piston rings builds pressure in the crankcase. There is a case vent and it may be partially plugged or the vent hose pinched. The pressure has gotta go somewhere and the sprocket shaft seal is the choice.
Oil goes out with the pressure. More revs = more oil on the garage floor. Check and clear the gearbox vent and stick in a new sprocket shaft seal.
