You need all the detail of your email account from your service provider who set up your email account. With this detail you go on internet and put in the account nr, and password, you get from your service provider. This is one way to trace your old emails
You can't change the user ID as far as I know but you can send and receive emails via Gmail under a different identiity. i.e you can be [email protected]

2. Copy the text that is in your address bar.
3. Go to the desk top and right click the "Choose New>
Shortcut.
4. Paste the webpage address you copied into the "Create>Shortcut dialogue
You would need to create a new email account on your phone.
The Incoming Mail Settings for gmail is pop.gmail.com
Use SSL needs to be selected.
The port number to use is 995
The Outgoing Mail settings is smtp.gmail.com. You need to use authentication
Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587 Port for SSL: 465 The username needs to be your full email address. I hope this helps
Linda, I'm a little confused. Do you mean your Mail program that comes with your OS is not working? and you've changed your email address with Gmail?
If this is the case, you need to change the email address in "preferences." Open your mail program, click "Mail" in the top bar, then select "Preferences" in the menu. A box will pop up. Change the email address in accounts. You'll need to type the entire address ([email protected]) If your password has changed, change that too. Make sure the incoming (pop.gmail.com) and outgoing servers (smtp.gmail.com) are set for Gmail. If this is not your problem, please clarify.
