Look for the buttonhole lever, just in front of the presserlever, on the lefthand side of the machine. Pull it down and push it back to the top. Good Luck

SOURCE: why does my ce-200 beep every few stitches?

I was having this problem for two days so I just called Singer and got a solution!  I'm posting it for you because I was on here looking for a solution to the problem and nobody had posted one.
Take the top thread out of the machine - cut it back by the spool and pull it out through the machine the way the thread goes when you are sewing - you don't want to be pulling the thread back through the machine because dusty bits are getting stuck up in that part of the machine with the frosted plastic where you have to make sure the thread is pulled into when threading.  You might not think there is dust in there - I didn't because I had taken that part off and brushed it out but that didn't work.  What you need to do is floss that part of your machine.  Get some dmc floss or some UNWAXED dental floss and pull it into that part of your machine - under the pieces that are under that frosted plastic part on the top of your machine - now floss it back and forth for a good 30 - 45 seconds.  When you are done that pull it out to the left - the way the thread goes when the machine is sewing - remember pulling the thread back the other way will get fuzzies stuck in there.  I rethreaded the machine carefully and made sure that the thread got pulled into that top part properly - the lady on the phone said it may feel differently now that its been cleaned out.  Then it worked again!
I hope this works for you!

try changing the needle--make sure the needle is correct for the fabric
clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or loose threads
if it keeps jamming up & making noises I suggest to have the machine

>>It stitches a few stitches, stops, blinks red, and beeps.<<

I had this happening as well. Until I figured out that the threat was not entirely pulled behind the little "spring" in the back on top of the machine. I am referring to the very first step when putting in the top threat. It has to go entirely underneath the little plate, and behind the spring.

Singer ce-200 stops sewing

Double check your threading,

1 first point to enter for tread (a).. then around little cog down and up again down.to needle thread it (b)

at A tuck on it.. make sure foot is up.. you will hear a loud click pulll thread down.. thread needle now while threaded... see that long metal horizontal plate under the machine but above the needle.. pull the thread behind it.. if you look at it you will notice the natural flow path.. you will hear a tiny click thats the sensor.. ok back to the top... where you first threaded the thread give it another little tuck you will hear a tiny click.. ok.. sensors seen the thread..

now unless your tensions are wrong.. it all should run.. with the right thread and materials.. also is the bobbin in ok? it unwinds anti clockwise.

My machine will stitch for a few stitches then stop and beep at me. When press on foot control will do same thing again

The machine is telling you there is some sort of problem. You may have run out of bobbin thread, may have a birds' nest forming (a big mass of thread forming in the bobbin/underneath your fabric & presser foot) or your thread is about to break if it hasn't already. Sometimes it can be a false alarm, but if you've checked everything, started the machine again and it again beeps on you, best to pull the fabric out, cut your thread and rethread your machine and bobbin from scratch. Also make sure that your presser foot isn't loose. Finally, check your tension. If your doing embroidery work, check that it's set on "E". If not, check that it ISN'T set on "E." Also check that you have the feed dog set properly for embroidery or regular sewing (see the manual for easy help on that).

Hello. I have a Singer Model 1411. I was going along, switched over to the zigzag stitch, and when I came back to the regular stitch, the machine thinks it's making a buttonhole instead.of a straight...

Well, I think you confused your machine. Go back to the zig zag and sew on a scrap piece of material. Stop sewing and carefully go back to regular stitching. Make sure your stitch length is correct and you have everything tightened up and the feed dog is raised. If this doesn't help, try doing a button hole stitch for a bit, stop sewing, go to zig zag, stitch a bit and go to the regular stitch and see if that works. If not, you may have to take it in to be reset. Good luck.

Singer futura beeping every 8 stitches can you solve this .i have changed needles bobbin cases but still doing it but is sewing ok just stops to beep

Make sure your thread goes under the plate of the carrousel. If not the machine think is not threaded and it beeps. Thread the machine with your left hand and Pull the thread with your other hand to make sure it "clicks" to every part of the machine.

Another important detail is to add thread nets to your spool. After some used the tension of the machine is affected and the nets help the slippery thread to be pulled by the machine correctly and avoiding the beeping.

My machine will start sewing but after about an inch or two of stitches it beeps and stops sewing until I take my foot off the presser foot and start sewing again. Can anyone tell me how to make my machine...

If it is threaded correctly, especially on top, there is a sensor that is giving you the beep error message. Common problem but it requires trip to experienced singer tech. Sorry solution is not for consumer, too hard to get to sensors and it is not an specific action for remedy.

Machine beeps and stops sewing, no error message displayed

sounds like not through the tension plate (on top) right... rethread and make sure you hold the thread taunt toward you as you putt through top tension... you should hear a slight click and some resistance...
