Need to reset price for washer and dryer

4 screws takes the front off the washer to find the leak, dryer probably needs drum rollers. If you didnt know maytag went bankrupt for a reason

I have the same problem. I have spent about $1,400 in repairs on this damn machine since we bought it about 8 years ago. It works for a bit then something else goes wrong. This is the fourth time I've had this problem.
It's the belt, it's the motherboard, its this its that $200 a pop. Just enough to say ok, any more I'd buy a new one, then a few months later something else happens.

What happened to Maytag? My mom and grandmother both had maytags for years, decades without an issue. The new ones ****.

There are four small plastic guide wheels that surround the drum in order to keep it aligned. These will wear after a period of time. The wheels have no bearings, they just ride on a metal shaft. You may either try lubricating the rollers or replacing them. Thank you, Dana

Check for ~220 volts AC across the two slanted contacts on the dryer power socket. If nothing, check the house electrical panel for tripped dryer circuit breakers(pair)--push the breakers OFF, then ON to reset. Recheck for 220 volts at dryer socket--if ok now, try the dryer. You need to use a voltmeter for this checking. If it starts, then quits, you likely have an internal short (heating element) inside the dryer case that trips the circuit breakers.

only the washer has a main bearing. the dryer only has bearings in the motor and still would not cost 1,000 to fix. did you door issue get fixed? Joe

Your pump, or the hose between the pump and drum, might be clogged.  Could be spare change from unemptied pockets.
