I can not connect to internet with my stealthg2 eventhough wifi strength strong

I have seen this happen with my firebox, I contacted Amazon and they sent me a knew one. They will have you troubleshoot first. Usually they want to make sure the firmware is updated and that you have a strong internet connection. Sometimes the strength of the WiFi signal causes issues.

can you log into your wi fi router admin account ?
Can you try changing the channel from auto to say 3 channel numbers higher than the lowest channel number available . This is in case you have neighbors with wi fi that might be interfering with your wi fi signal .

Unfortunately for you you're going to need the login and password in order to get into that wifi. If you don't know what that is then try another wifi access point in the list. All wifi is not created equal even though it has a strong signal it still may require you to have the security key which for most of us is just called a password in order to get into the wifi access point. Need to know your signal strength and if you're connected with proper credentials. If the wifi signal is weak, the computer may disconnect to look for a stronger signal. Sometimes ipv6 is the culprit on older computers too. Disable that and use ipv4 only. There are multiple reasons for dropped internet so the more info about your system and the conditions under which the internet is dropped will help in diagnosing the problem without sending you on a wild goose chase.

Solution 1.Check wireless connection.

It sounds like you're in range of a wifi signal, but haven't chosen which network you want your tablet to jump onto. Head over to your settings panel (swipe down from the top, then tap the little cog icon). From settings, make sure you're in the "Wireless and network" tab. Make sure your wifi is turned on (with the green bar below it). To the right, there should be a list of wifi networks you can join. If there's one that has a little padlock icon on it, it means it requires a password (are you at a restaurant or friend's house? - ask them for the wifi password). If it doesn't have the padlock, it's an open network. Does this help?

Try entering password again off router. Unplug and replug router then try again. Make sure your WIFI is on too.

Need To Double Check Password And Connection Info. One Error Sets The Whole Thing Off As Wrong.

On my Iconia when I see this show up it will be from a low power or a poor wii connection. Basically the signal strength is too low which means the speed drops to the point where everything is timing out before it gets loaded.

There are a couple o causes to check . One is too far from the wifi router.the farther away the lower the signal the slower it goes. You have objects blocking the signal such as steel reinforced safety windows or steel mesh in walls. These can block the signal. I have one are where I'm all of 10 feet away and it will barely connect. I have to move about three feet to the side and get ull strength and speed. The orientation of your tablet can effect i you can use a marginal signal or not. Try aiming the edge with the volume buttons towards the wifi. The antenna is oriented in a way that this will slightly improve the signal. The other thing is that your tablet can be fine but your wii router is having problems with its wifi sections. Certain brands will show more errors and then difficulties in connections in as little as a year old (on some about half that). The Iconia has a rather good wifi ability so I wouldn't blame its hardware but would look at the location orientation etc as I have mentioned.
