Are you sure your memory card is still functional? Are you sure there is one memory card inside?
This is what I suggest:
If you can't view any picture in the camera, try to rescue the pictures with when it is connected with a USB cable to a computer or with a card reader on your computer. Then make sure your battery is still ok.
Then when the memory card is out of the camera, clean the contacts, by rubbing them with a dry cloth. Place the card back in the camera and do a format of the memory card. Don't do a format, before you have all the pictures from the card on your computer or another save place. Make it a habit to save the pictures you take on a computer and on an external medium. Can be an external drive or a CD or DVD. One backup is most of the time not enough.

Hi, It is possible that the memory of your camera got corrupted. You can try and format the memory and see if it will clear any errors and make the memory (card) available for use of the camera. Should you want to try and recover any images stored in the memory card, it has to be a removable one that you can plug in to a card reader attached to a PC. Run data recovery software to hopefully recover whatever you can from the memory. You can also format the memory with your PC and use a disk checking utility to check for any other errors. Thereafter, if things are ok, it will be ready for use of the camera. Hope this be of some use to you. Post back how things went or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.

The error message (D: 5f08 5e02) means that your lens is dying / dead. It just happened to mine (on the Mju 700, but it's the same thing) and I was told that it could be repaired, but it would cost as much as a new camera. I've only had mine 2 years and I've been really careful with it, so I'm a bit annoyed, but I have used it a lot!

Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to card setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the picture error message and the cards can be used again.
