I have a 2 burner coleman propane camp stove model 5430E. RIGHT burner works great, LEFT burner is getting no gas. The valve moves in and out but no gas flows to the burner.

Looking for a spider web is a great starting point. With these propane devices it is pretty common for liquid residue/condensation to build up in the feed lines. I would get an air compressor and blow out the lines and try again. Do not use air in a can. That will only add more moisture.

How to replace fuel pressure regulating valve

1991-94 Models - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  1. Remove the air intake tube and resonator assembly.
  2. Properly relieve the fuel system pressure.
  3. Remove the bolts from the fuel line clip.
  4. Using a 15 / 16 in. (24mm) backup wrench to prevent damage to the inlet port and bracket, disconnect the fuel inlet and return lines from the pressure regulator/fuel rail assembly.
If difficulty is encountered accessing the fuel return line nut, loosen and/or remove the fuel supply and rail attachment fasteners.
  1. Disengage the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.

Fig. 9: Remove the fuel pressure regulator assembly from the fuel rail
  1. Do not remove the O-ring from the retainer in the pressure regulator fuel outlet, unless it is damaged and requires replacing. Always remove and discard the O-ring from the fuel inlet.
To install:
  1. Lubricate the new fuel inlet O-ring and, if necessary, the new outlet O-ring with clean engine oil, then install the O-ring(s) in the pressure regulator assembly.
  2. Position the regulator assembly to the fuel rail. Coat the threads of the attaching bolt with Loctite® 242 or an equivalent threadlock, then install the bolt and tighten to 106 inch lbs. (12 Nm).
  3. Connect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.
  4. Connect the fuel inlet and return lines, then tighten the lines to 133 inch lbs. (15 Nm) using a backup wrench to prevent port damage.
  5. Cycle the ignition switch to prime the fuel system, then start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
  6. Turn the ignition OFF and install the air intake tube and resonator assembly.

How would I replace my fuel Filter

The fuel filter is an integral component of the fuel pressure regulator, which is mounted on top of the fuel pump module, located in the fuel tank. When the fuel filter/regulator assembly requires service, the fuel tank must be removed from the vehicle, however, the fuel pump module does not need to be removed.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. You dont have to relieve your fuel systems pressure because your jeep has an automatic bleeder.
  3. Remove the fuel tank assembly.
  4. Clean the area around the fuel filter/regulator.

Fig. Fig. 6: Replace the old fuel filter/pressure regulator mounting gasket

  1. Disengage the retaining clamp from the top of the filter/regulator assembly. Discard the retaining clamp.
  2. Using 2 small prying tools, pry the filter/regulator assembly out from the top of the fuel pump module. The filter/regulator assembly will unsnap from the fuel pump module.
  3. Remove and discard the mounting gasket below the filter/regulator.
  4. Before discarding the fuel filter/pressure regulator assembly, inspect the assembly to verify that the O-rings are intact. If the smallest of the 2 O-rings cannot be found on the bottom of the filter/regulator, it may be necessary to remove it from the fuel inlet passage in the fuel pump module.

To install:

Fig. Fig. 7: Check the condition of the fuel filter/pressure regulator O-rings

  1. Clean the recessed area in the pump module where the filter/regulator assembly is to be installed.
  2. Check the replacement filter/regulator assembly to make sure that the new O-rings are already installed on the assembly.
  3. Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the O-rings.
  4. Install a new gasket on top of the fuel pump module.
  5. Press the new fuel filter/pressure regulator assembly into the top of the fuel pump module until it snaps into position (a positive click must be heard or felt).
  6. The arrow on top of the fuel pump module should be pointed towards the front of the vehicle (12 O&rsquoclock position).
  7. Turn the filter/regulator assembly until the supply tube (fitting) is pointed to the 11 O&rsquoclock position.
  8. Install new retainer clamp (the clamp snaps over the top of the filter/regulator and locks to the flanges on the pump module).
  9. Install the fuel tank assembly.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.

Pressure regulator could be a factor, but may be part of the fuel pump assembly. Fuel filter could be a factor, but again, with some Chrysler vehicles the filter, regulator and such are all part of the fuel pump assembly.

Why is propane shooting out of the small whole on the regulator when I put a new tank on. Do I need a new regulator?

shut the valve on the bottle and re-assemble whole system, this usually happend when regulator is not screwed in properly.

another reason can be that it is too hot weather and bottle was in full sun, this increase greatly internal pressure and regulator was just venting it.

if none of the above worked or is true, then yes, replace regulator. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DIS-ASSEMBLE THE REGULATOR!!!
