The newer technology has design issues due to the confined space where all the components are and not well ventilated. A good number of LCDs failed due to overheated components, specially in the power supply circuitry; once this parts become dry or leaking the LCD will fail to power up.
It seems like the power supply is defective on your LCD. Replacing or repairing it should fix your power up problems.

Failed capacitors are common problem in LCD TV's and Monitors. Each power supply uses different caps size and value. You should inspect the power supply module first.

you have a power supply problem.. I have fixed serveral tvs with this problem. normally you have to replace busted capacitors in the power supply board.
