Dometic (Rm 36 C) Rv fridge will get cold on a/c power but does not get cold on propane.Could it be the thermostat as there is one for a/c and one for gas??? how can you check a thermostat??
Any Help???
THERE IS A ELECTRIC AND A SEPARATE GAS THERMOSTAT....... THEY ARE NOT THE SAME!! IF YOU HAD A GAS PROBLEM THEN IT WOULD NOT WORK ON ELECTRIC.....REPLACE THE GAS THERMOSTAT.... IT WILL WORK FINE....AFTER YOU CHECK THE REST OF THE GAS SYSTEM OF COURSE... LIKE GAS PRESSURE ANY GAS FILTER ETC......
THERE ARE DIFFERENT THERMOSTATS FOR ELECTRIC AND GAS......CHECK GAS PRESSURE .... YOU MAY NEED A GAS THERMOSTAT.. IF YOU GAS STOVE INSIDE BURNS WITH APPROPRIATE FLAME HEIGHT.. THE GAS PRESSURE IS USUALLY CLOSE ENOUGH FOR THE FRIDGE.......IF YOU PLUG THE FRIDGE IN FOR A DAY AND GET IT COLD THEN SHUT THE ELECTRIC DOWN LIGHT THE GAS TURN THE GAS ALL THE WAY DOWN...(THE THERMOSTAT) CHECK THE SIZE OF THE FLAME THEN TURN IT ALL THE WAY UP AND THE FLAME SHOULD RISE HIGHER..... NOT LIKE A TORCH OR ANYTHING BUT SHOULD BE HIGHER.... IF YOU CANT GET THE FLAME TO CHANGE HEIGHT THEN THE T STAT IS PROB NOT WORKING....I HAVE REPLACED MANY.....THE REASON FOR GETTING THE FRIDGE COLD IS SO THAT THROUGH THE SWING OF THE T STAT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TURN THE FLAME DOWN AND UP BECAUSE THE FRIDGE IS MODERATELY COLD......GOOD LUCK
THIS IS NOT THE FRIDGE I WAS COMMENTING ON.......SCREWIE INTERNET

Themostat for gas and electric the same you have a low gas pressure problem seach you tube for step by step on how to clean your burner assebly if this does not help see a qualifed lp gas tech or rv tech and ask him to check the "water colom" of the lp regulator aslo know as gas pressure output
Does the flame ever got out if not ,the tsat is not the problem. It could be that the flame is not hot enough or the flue has a restriction
1. No operation - no panel lights: DC Volts
Fuse
Wiring
Upper Circuit Board
Lower Circuit Board

I would start with the DC volatage and track it back until you lose it. Most of the time it does end up being the lower circuit board though.
