When I power it up The power light comes on the picture and sound come on then the power light fades away shortly after the sound goes out then it shuts itself off then the power light comes back on and fades away again. This happens every time i turn it on. Vizio is stumped. HELP PLEASE......
Actually I don't think this is a power supply issue, the problem is in the main board, test the 13 volt rail on the main board that feeds the audio section of the set , there will be a star that identifies the various test points on the boards, look for the one that has 13 volt by it, if I remember right its at the bottom left side of the main board, I think you will find it starts out at about 8 volts then drops off as the TV shuts down..There are safety circuits in the power supply that shut down if any of 4 voltages are either to low or high and I think that is what is happening. To fix it your going to either need a new main board or you can replace the audio output IC...chances are if you look at it you will see it has bulging. Good luck!
