Can't get it to format to phone.

Hi try to format the memory card first if that does not work try it in another phone you might have a faulty card.

Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com

2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.

3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.

4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.

5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.

6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Any micro sd card is good up to 4GB. Sandisk or Kinston are probably the best.

Some memory card wont be recognized by some phones or pc's. I also bought a sandisk card before and just found out (through reading online forums) that some don't actually work.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND KEPT ON MESSING WITH THE 4G MEMORY CARD AND FOUND OUT THAT I HAD TO FORMAT THE MEMORY CARD ON MY COMPUTER AND NOW IT READS THE CARD..ON THE SIDE OF THE SD ADAPTER HAS A SLIDING PIECE THAT SAVES YOU FROM DELETING THINGS ACCIDENTALLY BUT IF YOU SLIDE IT INTO THE MIDDLE POSITION THEN IT WILL ALLOW YOU TO FORMAT THE MEMORY CARD BUT YOU WILL LOSE WHATEVER THAT IS ON THE MEMORY CARD AND WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD IT ALL OVER AGAIN..I HOPE THIS IS CLEAR ENOUGH FOR EVERYBODY TO UNDERSTAND BUT THIS IS HOW I GOT MY MUSIC AND PICS ON THE MEMORY CARD

I had same problem-you must push memory card ALL the way in until it clicks!! Also, make sure connection under settings is set to "mass storage"

in most lgs u can go to the menu and then settings then memory and then go into card and select format then it shud b good

i believe they are only capable of 2 gig, get a brand new 2 gig for around $7 online, and the device should recognize it, i have the brand name kingston, my problem now is, i cant sync music, if u figure that out, let me know
