Have the pump apart, but can't get the impeller off the electric motor shaft. Any ideas?
You need to get to the shaft at the back of the motor to hold it while you use water pump pliers or the like to turn it off. It will unscrew in the regular direction but if it has a set screw to hold it in (You will find this at the center of the impeller) this will be a left hand screw so you will go clockwise to loosen it. This should get the impeller off. If not you will need to put a screwdriver in the side of the impeller and give it a hit to lossen the impeller. Good luck.

HAD TIMER ON AUTO AND IT RAN THROUGH TWO SPRINKLING STAGES THEN MOTOR WOULD NOT TURN ON AGAIN, EVEN MANUALLY, ON THE TIMER. CIRCUIT BREAKER OK.
