Hi Gregory, If you've locked your phone through entering an incorrect pin number 3 times then you need a Puk code, Ring your service provider and they will give you the FREE Puk code.....
If you lock your phone again some time in the future and you're still with the same service provider you can use that same Puk code.. BUT if you've forgotten your pattern code The link below is a youtube video of a guy shows 3 way but the 3rd way is a factory reset meaning you loose every thing in your phone

PUK Codes

A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from AT&T to unlock your SIM card.

Since I don't know the name of you carrier, I'm using AT&T as an example. Most carriers use the same methodology though the wording may be different.

You can obtain your phone's PUK code from AT&T in one of these ways:

Take the phone into your carrier's retail outlet.

OR

• Log in to myAT&T online
• Use our Technical Support Chat.
• Contact Customer Care


To get your phone's PUK code online:

? Log in to myAT&T.
? From the myAT&T tab at the top of the page, hover over the Wireless link and select Phone/Device under the My Wireless Service heading.
? From the My Phone/Device screen, select the Unblock SIM Card link under the My Make & Model heading.
? The Unblock SIM screen will display your PUK code and will give you instructions for unblocking your SIM Card.

Keep unlocking it improperly until you get a PUK code lock. When you get a PUK code lock, call your carrier and give that to them, they can then give you an unlock code.

PUK is pin unblocking key. You'll need to contact your service provider (AT&T, Verizon, whomever) to get the code. Too many incorrect guesses will make your SIM die so please avoid guessing since it is a factory setting and a completely random set of numbers.

ring up the mobile phone service provider you are connect with tell them you need a puk code and your mobile number then they will generate a puk for you to unlock.
