If you have audio from the radio, all of the internal components are working, such as the power amp. If the CD section is not working, a switching relay, or connection may be at fault. If a read head is misaligned, you cannot pick up data from the CD and communicate with the audio out either. If the CD's are CLONES (copies) they too may not work. There are many reasons, and that mentioned are only a few.

My, 2007 Ford Five Hundred CD player works and I can hear it very well but I can only hear my radio (very softly) when the volume is turned up all the way.

Hi,

from your description, it sounds like we can eliminate your car speakers as the issue because the sound from your CDs does not have any issues. In this case, please double check that your car antenna hasn't been bent or tampered because this would be one cause of the radio sound not coming through properly. Also, please make sure to check multiple radio stations to ensure that the issue isn't with just one station.

Thank you.

Sound problems

are the cds you are using copys or originals as sometimes the copy wont give you the stereo sound that you want but if you are getting stereo sound through the radio and all speakers are working there should be no reason why you dont get sound through all 4 speaker through the cd as they all go through the same channels and produce sound the same way as the radio the only problem i ever had with sound was that the copys wouldnt give me stereo sound but the only other problem could be is that the cd player in the unit is damaged or something come loose on the actuall cd unit in the player itself have you tried ajusting the loudness of each speaker and see if their is any sound at all if not and you are using originall cds then their should be no problem with the sound you could try turning the stereo sound off and have it on mono then see if you get any sound in the other speakers if not then it is fault with the unit itself this can be difficult to repair and expensive to get parts for how old is unit try playing round with the speaker volumes if this dont change anything and the mono and stereo sound dont change anything then it will need to be repaired so i would sugest to take this to repair shop as this would be difficult to repair hope this is some help to you ........................................

I got 2003 mazda6 I put CDs in the player the cd is like kind of stuck and the music doesn't play so I talk all the cd back out and I put just one cd it still doesn't play, when I put the cd I can hear...

CD's come in different formats. If you're trying to put a home burned MP3 CD it may not work since it doesn't know how to read MP3 CD's, it may only know how to read CDA's or store bought CD's.

Static sound

Try a CD cleaning kit and follow instructions if this fails it is more cost effective to replace the CD changer than have it repaired.

Hi, I put the cd with the label up side, and the radio tries to look for the 12 cds one by one, but it is saying NO CD in all of them.

Is it a store bought cd??

Some cd players just simply will not play homemade cd's, or cd's made from a computer, especially if they are not finalized, which is a process in making homemade cds that prepare the cd to be played in a cd player.

My jvc kd-g820 will not produce any sound and not accept cd

try to find the reset a little indent on the face or hole when you remove the face and push in for 2 to 3 secs with a pen or paper clip. Then try your cd again. Still dont work check to see if you have another cd jammed inside and your trying to put two cds at once.

Ok for your no sound problem. a bad speaker, short speaker (one 1 speaker shorts out all will not work cause the radio is in a protective mode), factory amp needs to be turned on, bose system or amplified system in car needs to be rewired to bypass factory amp), buy special car harness to make factory amp compatible with aftermarket radio, late ford models the back speakers are crisscrossed.

Next time please give car info and type of system you got in it so I could narrow down the possible problems a little bit easier.

I can no longer hear the music from my radio or CD on my 2008 G6. I still have a radio signal and the CD player is able to read the CDs, but there's no sound. Is this a speaker issue (perhaps wiring)?

Sounds like a wire problem like you stated and the way to find it is to pull the stereo out and test the wires for voltage should read about 12v. And check the wires on the speakers

Plays radio not cds

You may have Power antenna and amp remote turn on wires switched. Your system may be looking for turn on signal from radio and only gets it when am or fm is on because power antenna wire is hooked up instead of amp turn on signal.
