You'll have to trouble shoot it... the belt either jumped off the motor pully or it may have broke. Either way you'll have to disconnect it and inspect it. Remember to always unplug the unit when servicing it. If the belt broke it is not hard to replace. The drums are held by gravity on rollers. Simply lift enough to get new belt pass the roller. If there are upper rollers in the way... simply remove them. Don't remove lower rollers. Lift the drum enough to install the belt and replace the upper rollers, relocate the new belt and close it up. Done.

Need help refitting the tension spring and belt to a Westinghouse dryer

You need to feed the belt around the tensioner first but release the tension from the tensioner. Place something under it to keep it from expanding open and the feed the belt onto the drum. If you get it started you can turn the drum and it will feed itself onto the drum. Once that is done, align the belt visually for straightness and gently release the tension. Voila

I have a Westinghouse Sensordry LD505E Dryer which has suddenly stopped heating up

Either your dryer vent is clogged or your heating element / ignition coil has failed. It's called a hot surface igniter

Westinghouse Electric Dryer, Drum doesn't turn on start up, if your spin drum and close door it will start,

Either something is binding the blower wheel up or the motor is bad. The best thing is to take the front of the machine off to access the blower wheel to verify ifanything is indeed binding it.IF not read the next section.
If you can turn the drum and then the dryer starts you have a bad motor. The way the dryer works is when you initially push the start button, electricity is sent to the start winding, or stator, of the motor. This will in turn start the motor turning. From there the stator will drop out of the electrical process and at the same time the run winding, or rotor, will take over and the motor will continie to run. Your stator is damaged, has a burn spot, etc so by you turning the drum, the belt around the drum is moved which is attached to the motor pulley. You basically take the place of the stator. Long story short, you have a bad motor.

Front loader LF708C comes up with SE error code, and may run for a minute or so, then stops. This code does not appear in the owner's manual..are you able to help?

Hi, you may find the outlet pipe has a blockage and the system shuts down and stops if the water level does not reduce quickly enough (or the drum may not be turning?.
Hope this helps.

Dryer heats but drum does not turn when the start button is pushe

You need to check the drum belt. With dryer empty, reach in and give it a spin. If the belt is good, it will stop in 1/2 turn or less when released. If the belt broke, it will spin almost a full turn.

Heat on drum won't turn

if the drum is not turning its the belt its not hard but can be a pain for a beginner a repairman would charge at least 150 dollars to fix. It would only take him about ten minutes to do.

Motor not strong enough

The problem dosen't sound like the motor. Check to see if the drive belt is loose and slipping. This is the usual cause of the problem you describe. If not, the bearings for the drum may be going bad. The heating elements should turn off shortly if the drum stops so there is little danger of overheating.
