SOURCE: Will not boot up

Disconnect all the disks and CD, remove memory and everything else including all the added card (Video, network,etc..).

Power up with processor only and if you don't hear any beep you have a bad motherboard or processor.

If you have any beep power off and add the memory and try again. Keep adding one component at the time until you discover wich one is creating an issue.

PS Did you verify compatibility between motherboard and processor?

IBM x3400 7975 will not boot

No posting can mean any one of the components on the motherboard are not functioning properly. If the Powersupply is providing power to the mainboard you should see the light-diode indicating the PS is operational. If NO diode is lit, the Power Supply is a problem. Assuming the PS is OK and all connectors firmly in place; check all Fans for activity., especially the CPU cooling devices. If all seem to be operational, then the lack of posting could be either the CPU or Memory.

Power to everything but CPU fan and case fan - won't boot

Hi this is tech crazy

The solution to the problem is as follows

The main reason for CPU fan overworking or not working is due to the load we put on the syatem while operating. So,the first reason for fan not working may be due to the SMPS malfunctionality.Better check out for it.The reason if fan is working but Overworking is due to viruses is system. So go in for format

Hope this solution helps you

Please do rate me on the above said solution

No beep,No Display on my monitor, only CPU heatsink fan is moving

have you thought about changing the battery on the motherboard, also checking that the fan on the cpu is seated properly with enough heatsink paste as both these issues will stop the pc from booting

Home built 4 yr old pc wont boot

You have voice message telling you CPU test failed , but does it BEEP at all ? if you have a Beep code then replace the CPU fan ( when CPU gets too hot it will either shut down or the PC will not boot up at all )
