My name is spelled wrong on facebook. How do I correct thos?

To correct a spelling mistake on your Facebook name, you can follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your Facebook account and go to your profile.
  2. Click on the "About" tab on your profile.
  3. Click on the "Edit" button next to your name.
  4. Make the necessary changes to your name, and click on "Review Change"
  5. Click on "Save Changes"
Note: Facebook has a policy for name change, you might need to provide a government-issued ID or other documents to confirm your identity. Also, you can change your name only a certain amount of times and after a certain period of time, following the policy will help you avoid any issues.
If you are unable to change your name, it may be because you have reached the limit of name changes on Facebook or because your name change request was flagged for review and is pending. In that case, you can contact Facebook support for further assistance.

Need to change my first name spelling

1
Open your account settings. Log in to Facebook and click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the page. Select "Account Settings".
  • To access this on the mobile app, click the menu button in the top-left corner and scroll down to Account Settings. Select General, and then tap Name.
  • 2
Click on your name to open the name editor. You can enter a First, Middle, and Last name, as well as an Alternate name (such as a nickname or maiden name).
    • Your name can only be changed four times.
    • Facebook wants you to list your name as it appears on your credit card or ID.
    • You cannot use symbols, numbers, random capitalization, or punctuation.
    • Your middle name cannot be words or phrases.
    • Nicknames should be variations on your real name (Jim instead of James, Meg instead of Megan, etc.)[1]
  • 3
Enter your real name. Facebook does not allow you to impersonate someone else, or create a page for a fictional character. Accounts found in violation of this will be forced to change the name.
    • If you want to create an account for an organization, business, or a pet, you will need to create a Facebook Page.
  • 4
Enter your password. To change your name, you will need to enter your password into the box before you are allowed to save your changes.
  • 5
Click Save Changes. Your new name will be saved, and the change will reflect on your Profile shortly. It can take up to 24 hours for a name change to be approved

On facebook i reached my name change limit will that go away

If you've reached the limit then I'm sorry to say that you cannot do anything except sending them an email and waiting for them to allow you an exception. The name change can be performed after this once they have changed their Policy and Terms, which might take a while knowing the Facebook behavior .

Since facebook is a very closed system you cannot send them a personalized email asking for help your best bet is to look for discussions

FACEBOOK WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO USE MY REAL NAME. WHEN I TRY TO CHANGE MY NAME IN THE 'ACCOUNT SETTINGS' THE SYSTEM REJECTS THE NAME

Please note that Facebook account names must adhere to the following authenticity standards:
  • Your full first and last name must be listed. Nicknames can be listed if they are a variation of your first or last name, but only in the format "First Name ‘Nickname’ Lastname."
  • Accounts are for personal use only. To represent a celebrity, business or brand, please create a Facebook Page. Pages are for representing a real public figure, artist, brand or organization and may only be created by an official representative of that entity. For more information about Facebook Pages, please click here.
  • Professional and religious titles are not allowed in account names.
  • You can list your maiden name as your alternate name on the Account Settings page. Please note that account names that include "was", "nee", and "formerly" are not allowed.
  • Accounts can represent one person only. Accounts representing groups, families, or couples are not allowed.
Facebook reviews every name change request before it is approved. If your real, full first and last name has been rejected, you can submit your request for further review. Please select the option that best describes your issue:
  • I'm already registered, but I need to change my name: Please submit your name change request and allow 24 hours for the submission to be approved. Facebook reviews each name change request that is submitted. Due to the volume of requests we receive, your request may not be processed immediately. If you have already submitted the request and the 24 hours have expired, please submit your report to Facebook.
  • I'm trying to sign up for a new account to use as a personal profile: While signing up for a personal profile, please ensure that your full name does not contain any invalid punctuation and that it contains a full last name. If you're still having problems signing up for a personal profile, please submit a report.
