How can I hook my Magnavox MWD7006 player up to a entertainment system. So far sound is playing in Stereo (3 speaker) format instead of (six speaker) format or Db5.1. Any ideas? I used a s-video cable to connect.

CC (closed caption) won't show up on DVD movies for LG 42CS570 hooked up with standard DVD player (not Blu-ray). How can I fix that?

Subtitle setting is in the dvd setting not the tv, If the DVD would have CC it would be on the case, CC is encoded in to the tv signal

MAGNAVOX MWD7006 - we bought some dvd's from England...we are getting the playback may not be ......how do we make this region free...Step by step please...

Setting your DVD player to be region free is a daunting task.
The easier way to go about this is to download ANYDVD, http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html
Rip the DVD to your computer and Re-burn with the correct region code.

When i hook my dvd player up i don't get a picture, when i play the dvd, i get sound. what is wrong? thanks bonnie

If Progressive scan is turn on the player and not on the tv it wont show a picture, or it could be your tv doesn't have progressive can, or check your AV cables, if through componet you have to make sure your tv is on the componet channel and that the colors all match and are inserted fully into the jacks.

Connecting

In general, you want to run red, yellow, white (composite or a/v) cables from the out of your sat box to the in of the Magnavox. Then run a 2nd set of r,y,w cables from the out of the Magnavox to the in of the TV (there may be one or several places to plug it into TV). If your sat box is an HD sat box, you probably won't get it to work with this Magnavox. This unit was jointly manufactured with Funai corp, so you will have to call 1-800-605-8610 for tech support.

Hooking up a magnavox MWD7006 DVD player to a APEX TV

honey and guest: connections: Red, white, and yellow composite from out of cable/sat box to in of this dvd, and then a 2nd red , white and yellow cable from out of this player to in on television. Every television calls the correct channel something different - make note of where you plug the r,y,w cables to TV -- it may be labelled video1, video 2, av1, av2, input1, ext 1, etc. Turn tv to correct input/av/source/video channel. Call 1-800-605-8610 for further assistance.
