Sony XM-2200GTX...Power, Green Light, All OK, No Sound!

I have a sony amp (XM-2200GTX) I have it properly hooked up (4 gauge power to battery, Excellent ground, Good speaker wire, etc.).  Here's the problem.  The green light is on but I can not get any sound.  I've tested the subs on another amp and they're fine.  I've tested the head unit outputs, etc.  Everything checks out and leads back to the amp.  Again, the green light is on.  It's never gone to red and yet I can not get any sound out of it. Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks

Sony generally drives their power light from a source that does not rely on the amplifier's switching power supply. This means that it's not a good indicator as to the health of the amplifier.

As long as you have B+ and remote voltage, it will light up. Since you've tested the speaker and the signal source, I think the amplifier is likely defective.

My amp is not turning off even when my car is totally off. It never did this before.

Check the power lines. There might be some sort of short or the power amp might have been directly connected to the battery. Re-wiring the power cables might fix the issue.

Can you bridge a sony xm-2200gtx amp, if so what polarity on which channel. Currently pushing two speakers. trying to see if i can bridge it and use a singe speaker?

left positive and right negative-make sure the speaker that you intend to run in bridged mode is 4 ohms or you will kill your amp

Hooked up to a kicker L712. Worked fine now its in protection mode. When i turn it on the light is green for a second then turns red. It wont stay green. What should i do? Is it the circuit board?

perhaps you are pushing the amp to hard check that the gain control knob is not turned all the way up. This will cause the amp to overheat. If not that check all of the wiring to the amp for a possible short.

Sony XM-2200GTX no sound but light will go on sometimes

I'll assume that you've checked the amplifier's on-board fuses.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

Amp LED light turns on then off

You need to use a multimeter to confirm that you have both B+ and remote voltage at the amp.
