Will send 7 or more empty sms texts, and will make and hang up phone calls all by it's self?? Trackball rolls all four directions but will not "click" and open any programs on home page. Can use backspace button on lower right to open program, then use BB menu button to get to reply, or send or place call. Could it be a bad trackball??
Trackball does work intermitten. This like it remembers all the old comands and then completes them all at one time, sending sms text one after another to the last person I wrote to, but NO message, then it will go back and start calling and hanging up to the last person I called. No damage to phone, haven't dropped it or gotten water on it.
It is one year old. Thanks for any help.

This I found out how to fix today!
Take out the trackball... you probably know how to do that..
Be careful with the ring, the little pegs break easy...
Keep the trackball to the side in the same direction it went in (maybe it matters, but to be on the safe side).
Then look inside... you'll see a little brown colored looking sticker thing... it looks like a microchip or something but it is only tape that covers the contact piece. With a knife or something small you can peel this tape off and the (i call it a popper) will come out. Clean that thing really good and clean the metal contacts that were covered .
Then be sure to put it back on the same way it came off... Use your pinky or a small stick to put the tape/piece back in.
Mine worked GREAT after that...

your phone is broken, that happens only from damage, they can be very sensitive. No two ways about it, I hope you got the insurance!
