My washing machine went on the fritz. It tries to start (door locks, appropriate lights are lit), then after about 10 seconds the 5 vertical lights above the pause/cancel button flash green every 4 seconds. For the first 5 minutes, the flashing is accompanied by a beep. After 5 minutes, the beeping stops, but the flashing continues.
What gives?
If you have had a lightning storm or power surge it may have fried the electronics panel. That is what happened to mine. Once it is fixed you should put a surge suppressor on it that is rated for major appliances.

After loading the washer and pressing the appropriate buttons, I press start. The door locks... but then nothing happens. I've tried a few of the programs, but the same thing happens on each one. The timer will count down (very slowly), but there's no action from the washer.
When I push the start button the door locks but the washer will start the water going into the washer
My washer will not start the cycle. I select the cycle press start and the counter counts down a few moments and then the counter and all the lights go off. Any suggestions?
I put some sheets into my Kenmore 48102 washer, closed the door, and the lights started flashing and beeping...9 times, pause 2 seconds, 9 times....continuously! I've tried holding down different buttons at once and unplugging the machine for an extended period. But the flashing/beeping resumed immediately upon being plugged in again. A friend said that hers had done the same thing and she'd removed the top and replaced the mother board. Can you tell me how to do the same...if that is indeed what is wrong with it?
