SOURCE: The presser foot came off Brothers sewing machine

position the foot under the shaft making sure the horizontal pin on the foot is in line with the horizontal groove on the end of presser foot fitting on the shaft. Lower the pressor foot arm and it should snap right on. If not, press it up manually. the directions should be in your manual. If you don't have your manual, you can get it online at www.brother-usa.com

SOURCE: presser foot stopped working I turned

Did you connect your machine then press the foot control before you lowered you presser foot? I have a CS6000 and that is what E1 means on my machine. You did not put your model number in so I don't know. You can look in your manual or go online to www.brother-usa.com and look it up for your machine. Try unplugging and plugging it in again, but put your presser foot down then step on your foot pedal.

Foot wil not stay on Pfaff no problem befor now rause lever and foot falls off

Check the latch component on the presser foot bar and on the presser foot. Perhaps something has become loose, fallen off, or become damaged. Have you tried a different presser foot and, if so, does it work? If more than one presser foot will not attach, then the problem is on the presser foot bar.

Presser foot wont connect

It is most likely the presser foot you are trying to install was not made for your machine. There are so many machines available and most of those machines have their own presser feet, which are not interchangeable. Unfortunately, even a Singer presser foot is not interchangeable with other Singers. Some have screw attachments, others have lever attachments, some have long shanks, others have short, some are straight, others are slanted. You need to figure out what style presser foot your machine takes and then search for either the presser feet that fit or a shank adapter that you can then use snap-on feet (kits are available on eBay).

Pressure foot won't stay up

The presser foot lift lever on many newer janome sewing machines will wear out with use. It can easily be replaced by a sewing machine repair shop or Janome dealer. Or you can look online for a "presser foot lifter" or "presser foot lift lever" making sure to find the correct one for your machine.

I have a 9960 singer machine and am trying to use the buttonhole presser foot for the first time and I can not get it to sew T

the buttonhole foot snaps on to the presser bar, there's a little lever at the back of the presser bar that releases the foot, then put the buttonhole foot down on the needle plate & use the presser foot lifter (number 11) to lower the presser bar down onto the buttonhole foot & you'll hear a click sound when it snaps on & make sure to use the buttonhole lever(number 31) because the machine won't sew a buttonhole unless that lever is pulled down.

When pressing the foot control the machine won't run, it shows the presser foot blinking on the screen even when the presser foot lever is down.

check the connections, if they are good, your foot pedal has a short in it, so its not completing the circuit when depressed

I have a brother LS-1217 sewing machine & the right side quit working.. Can anyone help me please

Download a free manual here - http://www.brother-usa.com/manuals/default.aspx?PGID=3&R3ModelID=LS1217

Right side - do you mean the handwheel does not turn?

This could be due to thread wrapped around the uptake lever or knotted up in the bobbin area.

Refer to the manual for the correct threading proceedure and for cleaning the bobbin area.

Be sure the presser foot is up and the needle is at it's highest position when threading or removing the bobbin case.

If this does not help, the machine will need to go into the shop.

Pressure foot does not stay in place...comes loose

Not sure what the problem is.

There is a screw that holds the presser foot shank to the presser bar.

When the presser foot shank is lowered, it snaps onto the presser foot.

See page 26 of the manual - http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html
