I recommend replacing spark plugs every 30k miles.your oil and filter should be changed every 3k miles.oil type is either on your oil filler cap or on the flat side of your oil level stick.

with the money u hav left look into the injector drive circuit of the computer-thatz wat runs rich and leen--may need a new one or hav whole computer reprogramed-easier
Take a compression test on # 4. It may be a little oil burning w coolant getting by the head gasket. POSSIBLE faulty injector or not firing on time. Ck for any oil in the anti freeze or anti freeze in the oil.
As a rule of thumb, oil and filter every 3000 miles, air filter everyt 20,000 miles, transmission oil every 50,000 miles and spark plugs every 80,000 miles.
Basics are Oil change and filter , air filter , spark plugs.
Next level is PCV valve if needed , plug wires , distributor cap and rotor if needed.
Next level is an electronic diagnostic at a mechanic.
If the oil was still wet it probably wasn't coming from inside the combustion chamber. Oil in the combustion chamber would show up on the plugs as white ash (usually). It has been my experience with those toyota motors that the oil comes from deteriorating o-rings that seal the valve cover to the spark plug tubes. They're not very difficult to replace. Remove the valve cover (you'll need a VC gasket) and there are 4 big holes in it that fit over the spark plug tubes, which you should now see sticking up out of the head. Replace the o-rings around them and you should have no more oilly plugs. I don't think this really affects the performance, but I can see where it would cause plug wires to fail prematurely.
Have your checked your coils? Never replace parts to try and fix a problem, Find the exact problem and fix it! No spart would be either a bad cam/crank sensor, bad coil pack or ecm fuse!
If Biggy1 has described it right, I think when you remove the WIRE to the spark plug ( not the plug itself ) and oil jumps out, there is a cylindrical seal that needs replacing and one does not need to even remove the cylinder head. I have the same problem with my corolla. On the other hand if Biggy meant when removing the SPARK PLUG oil was on the contacts....
